I’m in a grad class, where we have a group paper deadline coming up, now my group consists of 3 people and one of these people just handed me 7 pages of complete garbage, why is it garbage? well it’s 7 pages of direct copy and paste writing form the internet, I can search any sentance with quotations in google and get a hit and this person has a phd and is working on a post doc…
What class are you taking? Just a general subject.
I had a situation like that when I got my 2nd masters. AT that point in my educational career I wasn’t going to deal with some idiot ruining my grade. I gave my professor a heads up, and told her that I wasn’t going to be penalized for having to work in a group with other people who didn’t share my work ethic.
If she had a problem with that, I would take the matter to the President of the University (which I later did, and she never made a peep about it). Still, always be diplomatic first, you don’t want to look like a whiney bitch, but still, it can be a wholey unfair situation.

You could address the problem with your group member. If they are not willing to do original work, then you can take it up the professor. The next step would the department chair since the post-doc position is usually look at as employment.
It begs the question why is a post-doc taking a class?
You want to make sure the plagiarism is not linked to you. So this needs to be taken care of, or at least the professor alerted, before you turn in the paper. Protect yourself, this could get really ugly.
edit — Keep copies of everything. If the post-doc gets questioned, then their doctorate may receive scrutiny for plagiarism. If any is found, then the granting department may be taken to task. Give the individual the chance to turn in new work but I would pass it off very quickly.

i haven’t directly accused her of copying but did tell her it needed a lot of editing, but she seems to think it’s good stuff…
i’ll probably end of rewriting it all if i want any sort of mark, which i do, because both of them can hardly speak english, let alone write it.

Weak.
At least make sure you get full credit for your work.
Plagiarism is treated differently in different cultures. That could be part of the problem here. If the person did their PhD outside the US, that could be part of the issue (different treatment of others work). If within the US, it should not. You can try explaining it to the person that all material taken from other sources has to give that source credit.
If their PhD is from another country, I would ask the professor to do this. I have had to have this conversation many times and if it is not confrontational it typically goes well. Less accusation and more explanation.
I had to put up with this all the time in grad school. I finally started approaching the professor on the first day of class before he or she could even start teaching. I’d point my finger at their sternum and explain, “I ain’t working with no gooks in here, got me?” Worked like a charm.

Bring it to the prof’s attention, show them what the group just handed you (the 7 pages). If the 7 pages are really what you say, even with proper “citations” you could fail the course, be forced to withdraw, or expelled. Here at the U of A, if you did that in a masters program, you would be forced to withdraw. At least if you show the prof your progress so far, and he/she says it’s garbage, you can start over and do it properly.

When Og fucks shit up he gets thrown out of the group, and probably dies. That means Og fucking makes sure he doesnt fuck up because then he would be fucking dead. Also, gooks didnt make cave paintings.
