How do you know when she is the one? How does she stand out from all of the other women you have had in your life?
You dont.
There is no ONE.
There are just women whose idiosyncrasies you can tolerate and women you can not tolerate.
Also, there are cheating, lying, manipulative skanks.
When she’s willing to sign a very detailed prenupt…
Love is a choice. IMO the biggest reason marriages fail today is because people believe in “the one” and the “happily ever after”. Successful long term relationships are work. There is no magic chemistry that clicks in and fills your relationship with love and joy. You can only get out what you first put in.

I have never maintained that there is a “one.” SO the question more accurately would be “How do you know if a women is worthy of marriage?”

Oh…
Intact family, good relationship with her father, low partner count, preferably zero, no party or career girl vibe, willingness to sign a prenub.

Excellent list!
I would simply add no history of mental illness, in the partner and her family.
When she looks like Keanu Reeves.

seriously this
Hard parts. Relationships have hard parts. How hard is either one in it willing to work to get through them? It’s easy to be all rosy when everything is roses, but every so often you have to shovel some manure.
Like right now- My son has teeth breaking through and pushing other teeth he has had around so that they can fit, and has been sick for a month straight after having put him into a new daycare, which are like little melting pots for every fucking disease in the community. So it’s actually pretty hard to not pop off on each other for even slight misunderstandings after four weeks of everything which that entails.
So the wife says to me- It’s ok. This too shall pass and we will get through it just fine.
That reaffirms to me that she’s a keeper, which has happened many times in the 10 years that we’ve been together.
So what do you imagine a girl doing when the diaper blows out one end, dinner comes flying out the other and there is much wailing and gnashing of teeth? Is she going to help clean up or go bang Drummer Mcrockband (as orion woud say).

How about…
A little off her rocker, but lets you have the TW score in scrabble games (?)
Honestly, its a leap of faith.
My motto is if you enjoy time with her outside of fucking and she makes good money, she is a keeper.

There is no such thing as “the one.” There are only people you are compatible with
