I’ve for along admired TC’s motto about bettering himself intelluctally, physically etc.
Without too much detail, I’ve had an average year. I kind of find myself at a cross roads.
I guess I want to know, what are the non negotiables in your life?
Obviously training is a given.
I am pretty happy with how I look and my strength gains, I am nothing to most of the people on here but I have improved and I will continue to.
So that’s the question. What do you do to live your life your way?
1)If you have your family, friends and your health, all the rest is smoke and mirrors.
“No-one can make you feel inferior without your consent”- Eleanor Roosevelt.
I have a disciplinary hearing tomorrow and might lose the best job I’ve ever had in my life, but I’ll still have #1. #2 will help me sit upright in my seat and look my interrogator in the eye.
I work in my home studio as an illustrator, so I never have to be in on time, dress the code, or commute to work. I’ve a fully equipped home gym, so I never have to pay for memberships, and I can lift whenever I want and never wait for equipment or deal with idiots.
I’m happier and healthier in my mid-40s than I was at any previous age. I strive to be a great dad and husband, progress in the gym gradually, and give 110% to the clients who’ve made it possible to do what I love doing - drawing pictures for a living.
Cheers guys, some really interesting comments so far.
Just wondered if there is anything you do, say everyday or every month to make your goals achievable.
“The darkest moments of our lives are not to be buried and forgotten,”
“Rather they are a memory to be called upon for inspiration to remind us of the unrelenting human spirit and our capacity to overcome the intolerable.”

While i’m sure TC is a great guy and does seek self improvement, and obviously has drive to create such a successful website compiling the greats of the industry while using it effectively as a fantastic point of sale,
You do realize the pursuit of heightened intellect and physicality was essentially the basis of the entire Greek society who most likely absorbed it from the Persians and so on right?

On a related note, how do Captain Crunch-men live their lives? [/quote]
Hahahahahahaha - Nice dude. That was the reason I didn’t take this thread seriously. ANYTIME I see the term “T-Men” in the title of a thread, I don’t know how to respond.
Because there is no such thing as a “T-Man.” Sure, there are guys who like lifting weights a lot, but come on. It just sounds cheesy.

So this website doesn’t have an idealogy and attract people with similar values?

Yes, it attracts people who want to (1) read about weightlifting, (2) talk about weightlifting, and (3) buy supplements.
You’re on a commercial site which exists to sell its products. Perhaps you’ve confused it with a dingy bar basement where we all box after-hours while searching for life’s ultimate purpose.
