How Do I Use Creatine?

I know your being facetious here, but how true is this? I realize once your off it for awhile you will naturally lose some gains, but will most be retained?

thks

wait, this was a serious question?

Yes, JF.
And by the variety of responses, it looks like there is no standard.

Thanks for all your replies, guys.
Hope you weren’t put off by the non serious replies. Here’s my attempt at a real one.

From what I’ve read there are people who don’t respond at all, and people who respond at a higher dose, I guess it depends on how you react. I’ve never really noticed a difference using it, but it’s cheap so I figure I’m not losing out.

EDIT

I think what the idea comes from is the fact that you’ll lose weight if you were holding water, other than that I don’t know. Your gains will have come from getting that extra rep or something to that effect so, no I don’t think there’s any sense to the “losing gains” argument other than water weight.

First thing in the morning I dissolve about 3 grams in hot water, then I add juice and drink. (Actually that’s the 2nd thing I do, 1st thing is 300 mg subling Resveratrol) I have another 3 grams before bed in my protein shake. I’m sure this is not the most optimal but I figure it’s good enough.

what pisses me off about the Biotest creatine…is that damn 5g scooper…it always fucking dissapears, and have to go digging for it.

oh btw 5g before and 5g after a workout

You must carry it with you (the bottle) in a gym bag or something? I ask because if I’ve taken my bottle with me where it can roll around the scooper can get ‘lost’ in the powder, but if left in a static spot like my kitchen counter i.e. not moving the scooper doesn’t get lost.

Then he’ll have to go on a creatine pump. Like a insulin pump but more anabolic.

The picture better work!

But that is only with the intramuscular injections right?

You’re right, but what if his body stops producing creatine?

That’s an awesome pic

My guess is you bought Biotest creatine?

The scoops is a standard 5g scooper. 5g is a the standard serving/measurement for creatine. What I usually do is take creatine with a bottle of Gatorade. The powdered stuff from the supermarket. Creatine, to my knowledge, needs a insulin spike to be able to transported into the cells hence the Gatorade.

No need for the loading phase. Just take 5 g/1 scoop 15 minutes before working out.
Unless the changed the scoop when they redesigned the tub, the scoop is (was) 3g so you would need 1.5 scoops to get 5g of creatine.

Again, they may have changed it. Well, they SHOULD have changed it. Anything powdered should have the scoop equal to the serving size or a multiple of the serving size (e.g., 1 or 2 or 3 scoops equals a serving).

The other problem with Biotest creatine is the bottle is too skinny, relative to its height. I can barely fit my hand in the bottle to reach the last 20% or so of creatine. It’s like one of those monkey traps, where I can’t get my hand back out, if I don’t let go of the scoop.

how long ago was this. AFAIK it’s been the same size for over a year, and it’s 5g.

it says 1.5 tsp is 5g, perhaps you misread it as 1.5 scoops?

From what I understand, and I could be wrong, but if you take/drink caffeine it stops the Creatinez from working.

You need to pack it in the scoop to get 5 grams. Best thing to do is to use a food scale, rarely are scoops in any supplements correct.

its pissing me off i cant find the damn scoop. I have fished around with a fork and a spoon hoping to connect but its no where to be found

I dont know what to do besides pour it out so im just gonna wait for it to show

/end pointless post

Biotest Creatine:
DIRECTIONS: Mix one scoop (5 g) in 16 ounces of cold water that also contains one or more insulinogenic ingredients, such as essential amino acids, branched-chain amino acids, whey isolate, or grape juice.

^confirming my first post about needing a insulin spike.

I wasn’t aware of the 3g scooper. I’m an 08’, so lol. I thought it was always 5g. I took the labels off of my creatine bottles (Biotest products) and use them as stickers. They are sweet!

I put it in my socks.

This is what I like about Biotest. They seem to have a sense of humor. All supplement companies put the scooper for protein powder and creatine on the top so it’s easy to find. Boring! Biotest likes to have a little fun by putting the scooper in the middle.

Then one product it will be BAM! Mouse trap! Or Anaconda bite.
