How Can I Make Gains Without Becoming Fat?

EyeDentist knows his shit, and as the Punisher advises, I’d listen closely to what he says.

I’d just throw in there that chicken breasts get old quick and you don’t need as many carbs as you think you might. I’d save carbs for 1-2 hours post training only and start getting in more lean steak, whole eggs, avocado, and nuts, etc., and maybe cottage cheese for a snack. Eggs, eggs, and more eggs. Whole eggs are basically the perfect training food.

Chicken thighs also have a little more flavor than breasts and some good fat so I like throwing those in. If you can afford it good wild fatty/oily fish is a great choice as well if you can find it relatively mercury free and not that awful farmed crap.

In short, good fats are good energy sources most of the time and are satiating; carbs are best post-workout only if fat is a big concern.

Punisher is also obviously right about the veggies. Broccoli, asparagus, and spinach for the win.

Finally, organic black coffee, green tea, and water are great choices for beverages. Don’t drink any calories, except maybe your protein shakes.
