How Big is Too Big?
Smashingweights wrote:

when you have to walk sideways through the door frame

when you have to use a rag on a stick to whipe your butt(of hire a little dude to do it)

when your car’s suspesion gives out halfway through the suggested miliage

when your tailor tells you he works in fashion, not miracles

when poptart becomes a verb

You know you’re too big when you can run for money in a nice suit.

LOL. Dude, I’m there now…and I know I’m nowhere near “too big”.

I doubt most guys with a chest over 52" can scratch their rear shoulder or back easily.

That just comes with the territory.
cold and unpumped, can you touch your right shoulder with your right hand?
Nope.

Yeah, that is a hassle when holding a phone.

Thank Goodness for blue tooth.
hahahaha

You know your too big when you have to use one of these to eat most meals.

What about your left shoulder with your right hand?
I can touch it but not the outer side of it. I would think you would have to look like Rhul to not actually be able to touch it at all. Your upper chest and shoulders would have to be enormous.

You just don’t have the mental fortitude to make sacrifices for that look. Yes newbs, looking handsome takes SACRIFICE. No one said it would be comfortable or easy. You have any idea what it takes to maintain that? Im talking eyebrow plucking and chest waxing EVERY WEEK. No one said it was easy.

But if you want to walk into a room and have people say “holy shit, that’s James Bond,” that’s what you have to do.

How little you know. Zoolander was a false profit, being really really really ridiculously good looking is pretty easy.

Derik Zoolander had once in a lifetime GENETICS. Anyone thinking they can do what he did after a few years on the runway is kidding themselves. And don’t give that “he was on blue steel” BS.

I really think you need to do some mobility work.

Bathroom doors are smaller…

when your tailor tells you he works in fashion, not miracles
I had one get visibly upset. He apparently never had to take a waist in like that on a dress shirt. Most of the people they sell too in big and tall shops have chests as big as or smaller than their waists.

They don’t know what to do with someone who has a chest over 50" and a waist under 40 unless going to someone used to fitting football players and the like. That’s why finding a good tailor is a must…and keeping them is even more important.

That has nothing to do with mobility. I have a lot of mass on my biceps, chest and shoulders. If your upper chest is sticking out 2+" from your collar bone, chances are you may have a hard time with this.

I’m sure being that big definitely contributes. Just saying some mobility work might help.

A full body imaging scan might help you as well. There are undiagnosed tumors in many people and a full body scan would tell you if you have any.

I can’t but that is more a mobility problem than a being to big problem :frowning:

I have a tailor in my area that puts sits in the sleeves and lats so when you bend your arms or raise them in your jacket - it doesn’t bunch up but still fits attractively snug when your arms are hanging. Best money ever invested.

Best money ever invested was in expanding my shower so I can actually avoid touching the walls when I bathe.

I don’t know what the hell pro bodybuilders do. I am guessing guys like Kai just get hosed down in the living room.

Jaco De bryn has one of the best physiques I have ever seen. That is my goal.

Isn’t there an article on elite fts about knowing when you are huge. If I remember correctly it was funny

Also to those that think you can’t get damn big and be athletic, powerful ect. Strongman competitors I think are the poster boys (giants) for that. They are jacked. Strong, powerful, have endurance, flexibility pretty damn well rounded I would say.
abso-fucking-lutely
I guess this comes down to ‘athletic’ being subjective, but you absolutely lose athleticism gaining size. You can still be a beast at large sizes, but there’s a reason that a DB who runs a 4.6 is slow and an interior lineman who runs sub 5 is ‘a great athlete at the position.’ I respect the shit out of the power some big guys can generate, and they can still have solid->great conditioning, but as a former ‘skill’ guy I’m clearly biased on my interpretation of the word.
