I was over 200 @ 18. We didn’t analyze or study as much as eat big all day, train hard, but it was for football so it was a different mentality then when I did track. I ate with the linemen ~ more food!

But back then I didn’t believe in eating. I called it inhaling. Shoveling food vs having mouthfuls ~ Oh and I entered high school at 97lbs.

Squats and Milk, Eat and Lift, Lift and Eat!

For some reason, I’m not sure how much the OP is going to grasp of this…he’s missing the simple points.[/quote]

Hmm… you have a point.

One last last thing, would the eating aid in getting stronger too?, or would it mostly just aid in getting bigger looking muscles?

Let me go find something hard and not expensive to replace to bash my forehead into for a few minutes. Don’t they make you take biology in school still? Where do you think your body gets the materials to build muscle?

Food, or precisely exactly undeniably protein. Which can be found via numerous food sources, but most easily available in killable lifeforms found on terra, aka planet earth.

Okay I give up because every time I look at that “last thing”. My brain twists into knots.

Eat BIG, Lift BIG.

Just add a gallon of milk through the day. Lots of extra calories, lots of extra growth.

Stop thinking so much about it and just do it.

Good luck.

Nobody else concerned that at 160 lbs with a year of training his bench is only 145?

If it’s not breathing or running away…eat it.

I think you should really consider being willing to lose your abs for a period of time. Would you rather be significantly more muscular while carrying a little more fat for a while or the way you are?

Ask your self which photo you’d rather be:

It’s a lot easier for the second guy to get his abs popping than it is for the first guy to add some muscle.

eat every 2 hours

Unless your planning to compete, judging yourself on anything but your own gains is not a very good idea.
You could say your that your lifts are pretty poor for a years training, but you’ve made large gains from when you started, which means your going well, despite there actual numbers.

Also everyone is obviously different, so there is no set size that 18 year old naturals are supposed to be.

To how big 18 year olds can be then there’s this pic of Arnold when he was your age. Pretty huge by all accounts. If only we all had his genetics…
