nice back you carry your weight well I was suprised you were only 160 lbs. Looks you have clear idea of what needs work. From upper body arms seem to be what stands out as lacking the most right now. What does your lifting routine look like now?-detailed- This usually helps others to help tweak it for the better.

I’d be interested in a video of your deadlift
I’ll see what I can do for you RO. I did compete at a powerlifting competition last year so my scores are online at a weight of 162, (just in case you want to see them).
As for the video, I might do it tomorrow, and if so, I’ll put it up and let you know.

I have to teach in a couple hours so I’ll put up all my data around 1 california time. I have a dumb question though…isn’t shizen the term for the natural stance in soo bahk do? Its been awhile since I have been in that art, so maybe I’m just losing my mind. Anyway, I’ll put up the data in a little bit.
You look great, nicely balanced overall. I think you would look better with a little bit more fat but this is just a personal preference for what I think looks good.
I am guessing you have a lighter frame to begin with (skeletal) which is why your weight is lower than you appear?
Looks good. I would work to bring up the chest, tris, and traps. Big delts, tris, and traps are what make you look big no matter what you wear.

I know someone is going to ask for some leg pics, so post them. I think you got a great build so far, your lean with muscle mass, and your back is looking good. Keep doing whatever it is that your doing (what are you doing? Diet and routine ect…) Lets see the wheels.
Ok, this is going to be long. So have fun reading it ![]()
My basic routine is as follows:
M:Back
Deadlift/T-bar rows
Pullups (weighted,wide)
db rows/machine rows
close grip pullups
T:Chest
barbell bench
db bench
barbell bench w/chains
flies (heavy)
cable flies
pullovers
W:off
Thursday:Legs
Hip sled/squat
stiff lef deadlift
front squat
glute ham raises
leg ext.
leg curls
Friday:Shoulders and Arms
Military Press
Barbell curls
Dips
Lateral Raises
Alt db curls
incline skull crushers
Real delt raises
tricep pressdowns (burnout)
cable curls (burnout)
As for diet, that is tricky and I don’t want to go into all the little things that I have been playing with. But I will mention what caused the biggest changes.
Two things that I eliminated from my diet completely were high fructose corn syrup and MSG. As soon as I removed the first of those things, I swear the fat started to drip off my abs.
Also when I had really big meals I took a small swig of apple cidar vinegar.
Last but not least my meals were either protein and fat or carbs and fat. I stopped mixing protein and carbs like I use to. Meaning I didn’t overdo it like I use to where I would have chicken and a ton of rice. I would have chicken and a small amount of rice. I got more carbs later in another meal.
Oh yeah, as for the workout listed, I did either deadlift OR t-bar rows. Each week I changed it, as well as never doing deads and squats in the same week.
There are a bunch of other little things I tweaked with vitamins as well as scheduled breaks in the program to allow recovery and blah blah.
Anything suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
K
Your meals were protein plus fat and FAT plus CARBS? Interesting.

I think your in super shape.
I think you could bulk the shoulders a bit more… Do you do arnie press??
I just started them. Question though, do you think it is stupid to be doing arnold presses after doing military press?
No its not, i do that. The arnie press gets deeper, its more internal. The arnie brings out the definition, military brings the thickness
Bravo!! And see no one said one thing about your legs so I wont start =). Look great. I thought I was the only person on the planet the used Apple cider vinegar. So much better than white, red wine and balsamic.
2 things 1) For tris do close grip bench maybe superset and use pressdowns (w/o failure) pre-fatigue
2) Do flies b4 bench to pre-fatigue the chest so it gets proper stim.
I mean lets face it, your shoulder dominant
0…and you dead looks fucking good too
nice deadlift. I will never be able to comprehend how someone that is so lightweight can lift so much damn weight. There’s a kid at my gym who is 150lbs. that can put up 95lb. dumbbells for incline bench press at 8 reps easy. I’m like 210, way bigger than him, yet I struggle to do 8 reps with that weight. Fucking amazes me.
Anway, you have a solid figure. Did you cut to get to that weight? I’m quite impressed at your numbers and that you are able to maintain that size without having to vary in weight. I find when I lose weight, I lose strength.
excellent work!
Your body looks great. The only things that seem to be lagging are your forearms and triceps. Of course, adding more mass to EVERYTHING would also be great, but those two are the only lagging parts I see.
And that was a very good deadlift.

No, I didn’t have to cut to get to the point that I’m at. The tweaking of the diet allowed my abs to pop out, but I’m constantly trying to gain weight. As for the strength, I just keep pushing. I don’t like giving up…especially when it comes to deadlifts.

i think i have that problem being small and strong. . when im lifting i can hear the ‘big fella’s’ in the back ground saying ‘he cant do that he’s too small etc’. . . makes me push harder just to prove them wrong haha
Thats a super lift bro, alot weight of weight.

Im jealous of your back
No need to be, just keep pulling up the weight when you deadlift. I’m guessing thats how I got my back.
And eating clean of course. ![]()
Keep up the great work! When I think of 5’10", 165 I think skinny…you’re not skinny, you look solid and are certainly strong for your “size”. Great pull btw… What are your current goals? If it is to gain more overall mass, how are you manipulating your calorie/macro intake? Supps?
how does your back feel after the D/L…
anyways lookin good man, i’d say work on legs and arms. good luck man, look forward to seeing more from you in the future
