I am fairly new to this board and have not made many posts, but feel the need to comment.
The ban on andro supplements is very discomforting. I recently tried my first cycle of Mag-10, and needless to say I was very suprised at the results. This was the first andro supplement that I have ever tried, and WOW…amazing!!
The thing that bothers me the most is that users of these types of supplements give a shit about there own well being. I will tell you that since I have been coming to this website, I have been more focused on my training, creating a stronger body, and in turn creating a stronger mind. The fact is that most people on this board have benefit greatly from the use of andro and other supplements like it. I believe a strong body creates a confident, focused, and more productive individual. Now maybe I am taking this too deep, but I am speaking from my own personal experiences and from reading all of the inspiring posts on this site.
I am just concerned that if the government can continue to ban the good supplements that are actually helping people like myself achieve personal goals, they will cause more harm to the people of the US than good.
Just my 2cents! By the way the input on this forum is invaluable to me. I respect you all a great deal.
Bottom line here is that unlike the ephedrine and norephedrine bans…
this is reclassifying prohormones as illegal drugs. Meaning, regardless of when you bought them, at the time of the bills signing they become illegal class 3 narcotics.
What does that mean? Well if a cop has a reason to search you or your house or car and finds a bottle of banned prohormones…they could pick you up on possession of a class 3. Big if…it really depends on the situation, the cop etc. Whats the probablity of it happening? who knows…but thats the unfortunate reality of this bill…
If you bought the product before it was illegal and have the receipt proving this, I believe it’s fine to own it. You cannot sell it though. I’m thinking back to high school law class with this one- I believe it’s called de facto or something. I don’t know. I just wanna know how long I have to stockpile.
Brooklyn…thats just not the case…when this bill gets signed all prohormoes listed, wether bought before the ban or not immediately become class 3 narcotics. The crime is the possesion…it doesnt matter when it was actually bought.
Again…like I said…I think it’s very unlikely that anyone would ever get convicted of it…but it is something to think about.
Yeah, Steve F.–our bad. We should just sit back and blindly accept when our government oversteps its constitutional mandates and starts hacking away at our freedoms. Sure, it’s just PH this time (oh, yeah…and steroids, and ephedrine, etc., etc.), but what’s next? Ya gotta fight for the freedoms you have, or else some elected dickhead with a potbelly and triple chin is gonna take them from you. And it really shouldn’t matter if you personally care about the issue at hand…it’s the INFRINGEMENT that should be important. Because next time they’ll be coming for something YOU care about…
When will they learn, PROHIBITION DOES NOT WORK, when there is a demand there will always be a supply, I agree the steriod dealers are loving this. This is the same reason why the drug war is a failed war, it helps the dealers and punishes the very people it is supposed to protect. “Penalties against drug use should not be more damaging to an individual than the use of the drug itself…” Jimmy Carter
BTW who were the 3 who voted against, the T-nation should write those 3 letters telling them that you support their stand against an overwhelming majority. Write to your rep. telling them that you do not support their actions. http://www.house.gov/house/MemberWWW.html
Everyone has presented a plethora of reasonably good ideas. Record them in an intelligible manner, and then bombard your elected officials with them. Make your voices heard. Demand attention. We live in a democracy, so I have to believe that we as a minority group have the same consitutional rights of the multitudes. Perhaps the usage of such rights take different forms, but it is all the same nonetheless. Personally the banning of prohormones has little effect on myself , although it is quite disconcerting to find that soon the possession of MAG-10 will be a felony…it is also amusing in a different light. I cannot logically understand how ephedra, prohormones, etc. can be banned whilst big tobacco puts 1200 Americans per day to their deaths, a portion of which were technically murdered through second hand smoke. I think that I would also classify cigerette usage as euthanasia; approximately 33% of regular users will die of a related cause…The current apathetic state of today’s society disturbs me greatly. One would think that such daily tragedies would compel society to strive for change…but the majority are distracted by the other hand; viewing to much reality tv I suppose. Thats my rant.
I was watching up to the minute a few days ago and they did a piece about kids smuggling muscle relaxers in from mexico. They had an interview with a customs official who talked about how they are on the look out for steroids and ephedrine, which made me think wow I feel much safer knowing we are being protected from ephedrine. It’s good to know our governments priorities place keeping people fat and unhealthy above other issues like al qaeda and what they might want to smuggle in.
The thing I want to know is what is the government going to do when we find out the hard way that someone figured out how to put something like ebola into a vile of fake roids and smuggle it into the country. If this ban goes into effect the government will expand a avenue of attack for terrorists to use.
The real problem is the vast majority of voters are idiots who like the idiots in the house think that demand for something is directly related to it’s legal status. Controlled substance is a contridiction in terms, because every time they make something a controlled substance with no legitimate availabilty, it is completely out of the control of the government as to how it is marketed and distributed. It’s a retarded idea that time and time again has proven to be a failure because the black market will just fill the void and then you have all the new problems that are created by the law. Problems which these idiot lawmakers are all too happy to deficit spend to try and overcome. I have no doubt that they will want to arrest people for possesion for the simple fact that they are privitizing the prison system and just like any other business they want as many customers as they can possibly get their hands on. Prisons are big business in this country, that’s why america has several times the rate of incarceration of any other country in the world.
Mike Mentzer was right. People need to become philosophically aware or they will lose their freedom.
Personally, I view this as unconstitutional, and while I may be mistaken by courts, I believe this to be a violation of ex post facto.
Latin for “from a thing done afterward.” Ex post facto is most typically used to refer to a law that applies retroactively, thereby criminalizing conduct that was legal when originally performed. Two clauses in the US Constitution prohibit ex post facto laws: Art 1, ? 9 and Art. 1 ? 10. see, e.g. Collins v. Youngblood 497 US 37 (1990) and California Dep’t of Corrections v. Morales 514 US 499 (1995).
Sorry for the cut and paste.
I believe that if you buy now, while they are still legal, then the government can’t hold it against you, because 1.) you bought it before it wasn’t legal, and 2.) possessing it when it wasn’t a law wasn’t illegal.
I’d suggest that you purchase any pro-hormones that you want now, and THEN deal with the ban.
If you get tried on it, then cite these records. In the U.S., as much as they(the current administration) wishes it wasn’t true, there is still NO EX POST FACTO!!!
YOu can buy and use before it is illegal. After that, if you use it, then you might be on your own. I don’t really know. If you start a PH cycle beforehand, you might still be guilty, because you continued. I don’t know how the federal supreme court would rule, which, obviously isthe highest court int the land.
Just trying to help the people who help me. I’ve been a long time reader ([robably 1.5 years), but never a poster before this.
