Increases (thermogenic) malic enzyme, which produces oxaloacetate - the rate-limiting fuel of fat metabolism.
Increases levels of hormone-sensitive lipase within the fat cell, which is the rate-limiting step in cellular lipolysis.
Stimulates mitochondrial uncoupling, an extremely thermogenic process that’s fueled by fat metabolism.
Increases thyroid-hormone levels (T3), the body’s thermogenic backbone.
Targets lipolysis in the pesky stubborn areas found in the lower body, abdominal area, and the lower back.
Okay, so there are some science-y sounding words in there, but the bottom line is that HRX kills appetite, increases metabolism, and preserves (possibly encourages) muscle mass.
It’s most certainly not catabolic. The Carbolin 19 is included in the formula specifically to preserve muscle mass.
There’s no problem eating when you take the pills, it won’t be counter-productive unless you’re tossing down a Snickers. Some people find that taking them with food helps to prevent any heartburn or mild nausea, which isn’t uncommon with many supplements, especially thermogenics.
(I’m not sure if I actually answered your questions, but I gave it a shot.)

If I eat while it’s working, won’t it consume the fresh calories rather than body fat? Can it promote catabolism in any way?

Your body’s ability to use ‘fresh’ calories is increased as is its ability to use the stored calories in your fat cells. The increase in metabolic rate and thermogenesis allows for a higher energy expenditure. The Carbolin 19 will prevent the muscle breakdown normally associated with fatburners and diet to a degree. If you go on a severely reduced kcal diet and eat shit food, you will still suffer muscle loss, though probably less than before.
If you eat well though, the effects on lean mass are appreciable and only those are near their genetic limits would fail to see lean mass increases. Think of it as a switch that turns on your body’s abilities to use stored fat while continuing its normal functions including muscle turnover.
The body doesn’t use stored fat unless it needs energy and has absolutely no other energy source, right? So are you saying that HRX somehow consumes fat even when there are more preferable energy sources available?

Wrong.
The body is always burning carbs, protein, and fat for energy. What changes is the ratio of each of these at any one time based on your diet and exercise.

I think HRX Awesome!!! I eat fairly good, not nearly as good as I should but better than most. I was at 212lb and have gotten down to under 200lb(haven weighed myself lately) with all my lifts still going up and putting on more muscle.
