So it’s been 18 months since the neck injury and not opting for surgery. There was a point 135 was a real struggle. Today called for one board press , not a big fan of board presses so I went with elbow wraps. I’m finally back to 315 (yes elbows wrapped) however I’m pretty stoked considering what a struggle it’s been getting back to 3 wheels.[/quote]
That must feel like quite the victory. Congratulations! You don’t wrap your thumbs around the bar on bench? Allowed in your fed?

Thanks Snap, yes it felt good to be back at 315 for the first time in a long time. My fed WNPF, made a false grip illegal about 2 years ago, I went full grip at my last meet about 18 months ago, the changeover was surprisingly not as bad as I thought, when building up my confidence however I wanted to use a grip that I was most comforta ble in. I will be switching to full grip beginning this week.
along with other stuff I broke out my wraps for the first time in a while to start to get used to them, worked up to 430 for 3 singles. Its my intention to stop bottoming out with my squat and making myself work harder, as when I bottom out I GM the fuck out of the squat. I believe I hit depth, what do you think?
Lol thanks Bro, yeah I was pretty happy to get back to 315, next step is to do it with a pause w/o my elbows wrapped. The house I grew up in had tap water spiked with Kedem Grape Juice!
Worked on Paused Doubles on Bench 275x3x2. - First time doing full grip on bench and it certainly fucked with me. plus Im still getting some pain in my left bicep/distal tendon area.
Squat is close one way or the other Matty. Regardless, it looked strong. Looked like you probably had another twenty in you and as strong as you were out of the hole I don’t think sinking it another inch deeper is going to take away much, if anything from your number. Nice job.
Thanks alot Dave, its close, I figure my first squat attempt Ill try to sink the fuck out of it to lay a seed in the judges heads, then I can SPF depth the rest lol!
Todays
DL against minis - 405x5x2
DL - 495x1
SGHP - wut 245x2x5 then 225x10
Klokov Press - Bar x20 55x20 95x20
Face Pulls - 3x20
Paused Bench - 225x3x3
Added the bench to play with grip instead of pinky on rings I went wider with pointers…did not feel good.
Matty good to see your healing up bro been a long road back. That squat looked good, hard to see it in baggy shorts but with a singlet it was good. Always a good idea to slam the opener to the bottom. Back to posting

I concur.
Im not sure dave, basing it on feel I guess, if I had to pick a weight Id like to 560. I have told myself if I can just PR on the Dead and Squat I will be pleased. Bench, well as you know I took a major step backwards, Id like to hit 315, but we will see, I only just hit that TnG with my elbows wrapped. Im excited and fucking nervous, lol
