Well, I don’t know if it’s smart but I’ve been getting fat and eating a lot lately which may be the factor helping push my bench up a little. Little steps to big rewards and confidence is easy if you know where your at. Seems to me powerlifting is all about your own path toward achievement and success which is always great because most of us powerlifters recognize that in one another and support is all around. Keep kicking ass brother.[/quote]
I think the a sumo stance has a lot to do with body type and just plain comfort. I’ve tried several times to switch to conventional, but I can never make it work for me.

Although they aren’t supposed to be my hands are probably a finger on each narrower when pulling sumo than pulling conventional. I can pull almost exactly the same either way which I’m pretty sure means I’m leaving a lot on the table one way or the other but I can’t figure out which.
Far better to be the other way in my opinion then you can use sumo (in your case) as accessory work while focusing on conventional.

Yeah good point dave, I will go light and higher rep in an effort to strengthen that area.
Im training this week, kind of redux of Week 4, since my peaking program and the way I started it shows me 3 weeks off.
Maybe some of you guys can help with this. I worked up to 300 today, which I felt I should have had more. But once the bar hits my chest my left arm / elbow/ bicep gets a sharp pain and makes me lose control of the bar and and bar path which makes the lift harder, I feel like its my distal tendon, but it wraps around the elbow, anyone experience this?
Recently had some discomfort in my left elbow when benching but I found if I altered the path just slightly pushing the bar up the smallest fraction toward my stomach or away from my face the pain vanished. I may have just been pushing the bar straighter up than in small curve back. That worked for me.
So it’s been 18 months since the neck injury and not opting for surgery. There was a point 135 was a real struggle. Today called for one board press , not a big fan of board presses so I went with elbow wraps. I’m finally back to 315 (yes elbows wrapped) however I’m pretty stoked considering what a struggle it’s been getting back to 3 wheels.
Bench (elbow wraps) wut 315x1 up to that point all reps were paused. I thought I paused the 315 but after seeing the vid I didn’t
Bench against minis - 225x3x3
Spoon press - 70x3x15
SS
CS DB Row - 70x3x15
HS Shoulder press, face pulls, tri push downs, lat Pulldowns, DB shrugs
