What do you think would be the better program? high intensity training or high intensity volume training? i’ve heard many things on both of these programs but i am curious as to what 1 is more preferred.

since HIT is the only method scientifically proven to trigger muscle growth as an adaptive response by the body as a means of protecting it from future physical assaults, i think HIT is the only program to consider.
Of course, caca is a mouthpiece for the HIT industry, so it’s a good thing he doesn’t need to actually consider the other programs that have far more support.
I mean, when you analyze it intellectually, all those other approaches have so much more to offer, but when you look at it with the cold, clear, simplifying light of an emotional belief, it frees you from all that messy intellectual analysis. Well done! Thinking is so much harder than simply believing!
… and to follow up.
Natedog, take a walk through the training forum on this site and see how many training programs involve HIT. Read them and see what they have to offer, then make up your own mind.

now i remember why i stay away from message boards.
i try keeping my arguments logical and courteous. i would appreciate the same.
No, you come here and spout off a lot of information like you’re some sort of guru, information that directly contradicts some of the most excellent coaches and experts that write articles for this site.
You don’t refer them to information already on the site. Excellent information. Information which doesn’t often support your case.
You don’t bother to even find out what this site is about. Instead, you just share your “wisdom”.
Here’s a tip: there might already be a vast amount of information contained here, and it might be fun for you to go read some of it before dispensing wisdom.

Do people even read the articles anymore??? There’s an archive section around here, you know. Start with Chad Waterbury…
Read Charles Staley’s article about HIT and Fred Hatfeilds article about it and you will be all set. The articles are available free on their respective websites if you need a link I can get you one. Also read what CW has to say about training to failure, I believe he said that training to failure is as good an idea as letting your kids play with michael jackson.
CACA…please provide the links to the scientific proof that HIT works. I would love to read it.
CACA, please read the following article from this website:
Does H.I.T. Training Get You Into Heaven? by Dan John

you say you want to discuss logically, then read before you said. hope you’ll get the “real” wisdom from the great coach Dan John.
i understand that there are more programs than just HIT but i was just curious as to what you guys may like or consider. i won’t make a definite decision simply because i never stay on a progream for more than 2 years. but thanks for the input.
HIT is definitely the most scientifically disproved training theory ever. It is founded on incorrect “scientific” premises about muscle function.
I’m am tired of reposting all of the logical fallacies and scientific innacuracies as they have been posted in great detail on other threads.
But I’m suprised a HIT trainer would waste his prescious recovery resources on posting a response to your question.
