Tech N9ne is my favorite by far. If you really listen to his lyrics, he is a pretty smart guy. He raps about a variety of things. I really like how deep he gets, like how he gets in ‘The Rain’.

One of the songs I heard today from his new CD talked about Darwinism and Creationism, using those words exactly. I was impressed because one of the top songs in america is about “getting silly”. retarded.[/quote]

AGREED! He is one of the best, but people overlook him so much because he dosent put out mainstream commercial bullsh*t. Tech is the man. Thats why the juggalo’s have a bunch of songs with him in it because any song he puts a verse in is straight fire.

Gucci Mane has nowhere near the skills of tech n9ne, but since hes from GA ill say hes better than some others.

Check these songs out yall, let it go all the way thru, give them a chance. Tech KILLS in both of these. Shows the skillz.

And this one is good too:

Real hip hop has nothing to do with most of the posted stuff…

Hieroglyphics
P.O.S.
Cunninlynguists
Immortal Technique
KRS-One
MF Doom

Etc etc.
Thats what you guys need to listen to

can we not bring up the whole “real hip-hop” debate. i already sonned the shit out of everyone in like 2 or 3 threads about it.

I hate people like this. They think that they have THE best taste in music and everyone else just listens to fake stuff. I especially like “Real hip hop has nothing to do with most of the posted stuff”, WTF! WTF catagory do you think these songs fall under dude? The songs ive seen listed are the realest. There arent any fake ass t-pain songs in this thread. KRS-One is OK but he dosent even compare to someone like twista, nas, or tupac. Maybe thats why ive never heard of the other ones you posted. Hip-Hop only has to rhyme and flow.

HEY EVERYONE LISTEN TO this kick ass song about REAL “Hip-Hop”

Dead-Pres - Hip Hop

Yea, Tecca Nina is tight.
I did forget Atmosphere, to whoever said that. Atmosphere is awesome. The music sounds great and is so real, but it’s pretty depressing.

50 doesn’t want it with the wu tang.

time to start a little debate for the non mtv generation of hip hop fans

only built for cuban links vs liquid swords

which one do you think is the better album and why?

Yeah Jedi Mind Tricks are awesome

So is Biggie

One of my favorite tracks:

The clean version sucks though

I would be fucking ill if I had a better voice. I can come up with good shit but it just doesn’t sound right cuz my voice is too shitty. Balls.

lol/smh@ gza dissing 50…wow. is it gza or rza who always sounds like hes trying to rap a post-grad biology class lecture?

I don’t agree with Live’s taste in music, but all these re-hashed debates get old. And there’s not much worse that a music snob. People like what they like. Get over it.

Years ago I would have said Liquid Swords, but now when I listen to it, I don’t feel it like I used to. I still like the album, but I can’t name one track that really stands out.

Honestly though, it’s not really a fair comparison. Cuban Links was basically a Raekwon AND Ghostface album, while Liquid Swords was only GZA.

Anyway, Cuban Links is better, in my opinion.
