For the most part, I really liked what they both had to say.

Highlights for me:

  1. We have one Political Party in this Nation with two, barely indistinguishable wings (I’ve said that for some time now).

  2. The size and scope of the Federal Government needs to be drastically reduced.

Where I disagree somewhat with the Governor and the Judge:

  1. Making Snowden a “hero” of some sort? (very debatable)

  2. The ongoing debate concerning the need and validity of the Civil War.

I’ll probably be mulling this over for the rest of my Lifetime; but I don’t ascribe to Lincoln being some Tyrannical despot hell-bent on destroying Liberty.

It is my feeling that he felt that a) Slavery was a “Cancer” that would ultimately destroy us and b) our Union of States would ultimately be stronger if it was united. Time has proven that to be so.

Call those feelings what you wish.
