So latest labs show elevated SHBG. Doc has recommended e5d protocol of 125mg test, 250iu HCG eod and 1mg a week of adex. Not sure how to best break up the adex. Is .5mg twice a week (e3.5d) the best way?
If your AI is a pill get a pill cutter from walgreens if its a cap mix half in a shot of you favorite whiskey. IMO 1 mg a week is a shitload of AI I would do half that and see if you get high E2 symtoms in 5-6 weeks. Good Luck
That is correct, split the AI up twice weekly.
Be careful, with higher shbg, you can easily crush E2 with arimidex.
What are your numbers like? There is no way to tell if that dose is good or would crush you without numbers.
Iām in a similar boat. 6 week trough labs showed
Total test 473, 350-1000
SHBG 40, 10-50
Estradiol 34, less than or equal to 39
The clinic put me on half a tablet per week (24-48 hr after injection) of Arimidex after these findings. They bumped me up from 150 cyp per week to 180 as well. So far Iāve taken a quarter tablet one week then went ahead and took a half last week after their assurance it wouldnāt crush my E2. Iām curious how the high SHBG plays a factor in Arimidex and E2. Thanks!
High SHBG means lower free test and lower free e2. High SHBG means most of your hormones are bound up, so theoretically it is easier to drop your e2 with an AI.

The high SHBG protocol involves weekly injections as opposed to twice weekly. The larger amount of Test are suppose to suppress your SHBG. (steroids suppress SHBG) So the idea is to use larger injections to bring it down.
I have only seen one person who it worked for over all of the boards.
I have to remind that while SHBG+T is not bio-available, SHBG+E2 is not tightly bound and is still regarded as bio-available. But to what degree I do not know. There are unknowns in TRT and at some point you find a balance between labs, targets and how you feel.

That E2 might be perfectly fine considering most of it is bound to SHBG, numbers look excellent.
How do you feel?
Again: E2+SHBG is weakly bound. You are approaching as tightly bound which is not correct.
