High Protein Diet and LDL

I’ve been consuming roughly 250g of protein along with 100g of fat and less than 60g carb most days for about 4 months.

Recently I was informed that my LDL and total cholestorol were elevated. I’m confused, never having had cholestorol problems prior to this point, the reading I am doing seems to incidate a high protein diet will actually reduce LDL.

Could it be I am eating the wrong protein sources/too much of one? Red meat, for example?

If anyone has any advice, please weigh in.

I don’t think its the protein your eating exactly thats causing the problem. I would closer at where your getting the 100grams of fat daily. Red meat, depending on the cut may be high in sat. fat. You may have to improve your fat choices.
