High Prolactin and High Oestradiol

I had blood test before TRT and it says I have high prolactin and high oestradiol. I have been on TRT for about 10 days. I am 38 and I had all these symptoms of high prolactin and high oestradiol for years and no doctor referred me to test these hormone .

I was wondering those of you who had the same situation what medication worked for you best for high prolactin and high oestradiol?

I would really appreciate your information regarding your experience for medication because there are few types of medication in the market. What is the difference between these medications?

Are your oestradiol symptoms getting worse on TRT? I’d imagine they are due to aromatase… I’d consider taking the lowest dose AI that manages these symptoms, if they are getting worse.

^does nothing for high prolactin, only medication I’m aware of to manage Prolactin is Caber - which has pretty terrible side effects to my understanding. I’m in the High Prolactin club too, have only recently tried fixing it via high qty B6 supplementation… too soon to speak on bloodwork/results.

The high proactin can be explained by low thyroid hormone (fT3) and is a side effect of taking antidepressants.

Prolactin is higher in people with major depressive disorders.

Fat guys tend to have more aromatase enzymes, which converts more testosterone to estrogen.

MOST drs wont check it pre TRT unfortunately. But there is so much merit in doing so.

Given your labs, I would ride with this until you get follow-ups. I’m guessing that would also be your doctor’s plan.

Around 2+ years ago, I was in your situation. I searched google printed what I found and brought it to mt endocrinologist. My Dr. sent me for an MRI and two tumors were found on my pituitary. I refused surgery an took the option to take cabergoline for 18 months. This past September I had my 3rd. MRI and no tumours/ or remnants could be found. The high prolactin caused my testes to shut down several years ago. Feeling like zero led me to my Low T Center which has been a great benefit for my health. When my oestradiol goes high my free T goes low. Its a seesaw effect. I’m now taking .5 tab of anastrozole with every injection of 70mg of T every 4 days. I don’t like the feelings I get from high estradiol. I tried many things and found this is the best for my situation.
