Stopped TRT 9 Months Ago, Low T Symptoms Returned. Bloodwork Advice?

Hi I stopped TRT 9 months ago due side effects namely Hyperprolactinemia which caused ed and mood fluctuations.

I got my bloods tested recently because I have low to no libido and ed. Could you advise on my bloods and further actions; perhaps TRT and cabergoline? Or nettle root to drop SHBG?

Many thanks

Your SHBG is very high which is why your Free T is shit. You can either start TRT again or take a magnesium and zinc supplement and hope for the best.

What was you protocol when your were on TRT before?

Hi

I was on sub q cypionate every other day and only about 70mgs a week which made my prolactin high and free t just above normal.

The high prolactin was intolerable so I stopped.

Has anyone you know of used cabergoline?

See the following from KSMan concerning TRT and prolactin levels.

Hi BM

That’s interesting, I done a search and found an article written by the endocrine society (sounds like a trustworthy source) 'Testosterone-replacement stimulated hyperprolactinaemia

R Sodi1, R Fikri1, M Diver1, L Ranganath1 & J Vora2’.

They concluded that t levels correlate with prolactin levels.

Also I should add that I am 31, temperature s are normal, I take iodine supplements, I weigh 13stone 2lb, 32 inch waist, reckless irresponsible use of AAS which I seriously regret.

When I am on TRT I feel depressed flat intrusive thoughts and generally apathetic but have libido and energy. Off TRT I am less anxious and enjoy life more but have zero sex drive, weak and gaining fat which of course impacts on one’s well being also.

Yeah brother I couldn’t say either way concerning prolactin. That’s why I pointed you to someone else’s posts. Trying to find some way to be helpful lol!

I appreciate your advice and taking the time to reply.
