I’m kind of curious where this statement is coming from? It doesn’t make sense to me. I’m not looking to debate you on anything I’m just curious on your thought process here. I’m under the impression that liberals are all about affirmative action so what benefit does the liberal media get for making us hate blacks? liberals are all about stirring up racial tension… affirmative action for example… giving blacks jobs and education opportunities that they did not deserve or have any qualifications for…
causes whites and other races to resent blacks for getting the jobs that they (whites and other races) should have gotten… test scores that were thrown out because they were “raciss” or made easier so blacks can score high enough to get the job. The bar had been lowered for them so that now, in a less affirmative action-inclined America, they (blacks) have no clue how to become qualified for the jobs and education opportunities that they used to be given because well… they were just given to them. liberals have instilled a sense of entitlement within blacks.
what do you think would happen if liberals pasted Bill Cosby and other black men like him in every area that had previously displayed the lil waynes and tupacs etc? if they were fed family values through the media instead of drugs, violence, and “get dat green”
liberals don’t want this story to get much attention because they don’t want blacks to begin to behave like decent, respectable people. they want more trayvons
The reality is that the media needs views, and lasting stories garners more attention. There’s no lasting narrative in a ‘heroic’ story like this. The vast, vast majority of people will praise the teenage boys for their effort in rescuing that little girl, and maybe they get a key to the city or something, then that’s the end of it. There’s no controversy, no debate, no real talking point, which in the end really means no legs for a lasting story.
Good news like this story doesn’t involve taking sides, and when everyone is on the same side there’s not much to say.
I thought affirmative action applied for all minorities not just blacks so I’m not getting how other races would be angry at blacks. Isn’t the point of affirmative action to give races a leg up to pull themselves out of poverty and allow them to get better qualified for the positions they are getting. I do see your point on the sense of entitlement and it is very prevalent in this country across the board.
This part really doesn’t make sense to me. Why would liberals be all about affirmative action raising the status of blacks and then not want them to act like Bill Cosby and instead act like Tupac? This is very anecdotal but I live in one of the most liberal towns in the US and I’m not saying I haven’t heard of racism here but it isn’t nearly as bad or out in the open as when I’ve been in the south, or mostly conservative states. Please don’t get me wrong I’m not a liberal or defending liberal views. I just not seeing how they benefit from causing racial tension or how affirmative action causes people to act like Tupac. Are you saying that the liberals are creating a false front with affirmative action to keep racial tensions high to get the minority vote?

THIS should be the “black and white” story that’s plastered all over the news.
I guess stories like this don’t cause the racial divide that people are looking for though.
