In the feel good story, all the attention (rightly so) goes to the hero of the story. Everybody else is extraneous.
In a shit show like the Martin/Zimmerman debacle, whoever acts out in the loudest and the most outrageous fashion gets all the attention, even though equally extraneous.

but alright.
you are right though, it likely won’t get much more media attention… this is because liberals want to portray blacks as violent and incapable of doing good, this way blacks continue to view themselves as this… so we have fewer bill cosbies and more tupacs and racial tension stays alive and well. I’m kind of curious where this statement is coming from? It doesn’t make sense to me. I’m not looking to debate you on anything I’m just curious on your thought process here. I’m under the impression that liberals are all about affirmative action so what benefit does the liberal media get for making us hate blacks? I don’t think the liberal or conservative media is the source of all American woes but I think the media in general doesn’t help.
This isn’t national news because the black guy isn’t being trodden on, so there is no news in it. All the pro-activists cant demand interviews on Fox, CNN etc to spout their hate.

I just kinda hate it my friend.
Nice to see you .

Of course.
I do myself, I try to surround myself with positive people. People who do not seek to step on others to improve themselves or make themselves feel better.
I think on a small scale that is all you can do. Be the change agent in your “small group” for most of us. Social change does not happen on a large scale. IMO

I have heard about this story for 2 days. Christian Radio has talked about this for 2 days. Conservative Talk Radio and Fox News picked up on the story yesterday morning.
This is a great story, and I am proud of those 2 young men for helping out their neighbor. They are Heros and should be commended by the City and their State.

I’ll get right on it.
Look around this forum. What threads make up the most action? It ain’t the threads where someone talks about their success. It’s the threads where there’s controversy. It’s the TM thread or the “what should my bodyfat be?” threads. People like to argue and place blame not praise.
But I do see lots of cool things happening everyday and try my best to embrace those and appreciate them for what they are.
Perfect example, and I almost posted this in the Trayvon thread last night. Yesterday I read two articles from another website, one was this and another was of two white brothers being murdered in the parking lot of a Golden Corral allegedly by a black person - and from the family of the murdered children may have been related to the “Free Zimmerman” bumper sticker they had - I can neither confirm nor deny.
Regardless of the race of the murderer, the following point I am about to make still stands:
There are good people.
There are bad people.
Race/Religion/Sexual Orientation has nothing to do with it.
