i reckon someone dragged sylar off, maybe the lad that molly walker was afriad to locate? i’d say nathan will survive, he could have brought peter so high then flew away before he did explode

For those who keep complaining about the lack of action and/or the “anti-climactic ending”, I think that is what I like most about this show.
It reminds me very much of the some of the more “mature” books that have popped up over the years, most notably Watchmen but also Sandman and others, where the story and the emotion behind it is the real focus as opposed to the usual fluff fights that fill the pages of comic books.
Peep this:

I definitely agree with the Watchmen comparison. However, that book was a mystery foremost.
The whole arc of this season was revolving around stopping the bad guy from exploding - whoever that was. To not have a fight between the two most powered characters on the show as part of this wrap up seems to be insulting to the fans who expected to see such a fight.

I didn’t even think that the dad had a power just due to the online Novels. Hmmm interesting thought.

There’s online novels for Heroes?

Just realized that even though the season is over the novels are being updated.

Good call!
I wonder if the Haitian had something to do with Sylar? Maybe he dragged him off, remember that he can cancel out their powers within proximity so maybe Sylar was not dead, just in hibernation and when everyone else looked up into the sky the Haitian dragged down Sylar, wipes his memory and we now have a new Sylar…
Anybody watching this season? I watched last season on DVD and this first episode of season 2, and got completely sucked in. Anybody? Bueller?
I missed the 2nd episode next week… moved and didn’t get the cable setup quick enough hope I didn’t miss much as I am looking forward to tomorrow!
I had totally forgotten about this thread.
Interesting stuff so far. I liked the first episode showing Claire and her dad trying to be “normal.”
So far Kensei is shown to have healing powers. Hm…
And the Kensei sign is somehow linked to everyone. I’ve very interested…
Season 2 Episode 3 - Kindred
Candice + Sylar - How fucking dumb do you have to be? Gee let’s stay totally alone with psycho “special people” killer and actually let him get close enough to kill me! Candice in season 1 I thought was pretty awesome. Season 2…I thought at first she had tricked him into thinking Sylar had killed her but then I guess he really did.
Nikki + Micah - So Nikki turns herself into the Company to try to get a cure. Say WHAT??? Wasn’t Linderman a part of this company, but your willing to put aside the fact that this was the same company that killed your husband??? WHAT? The idiocy with Nikki continues. GREAT!?@!?? I do like how they worked in Nichelle Nichols into the show as Micah’s grandmother?
Peter - Way more of a badass so far this season than previously. It looks like his control of his powers was more of an issue last season possibley because he was thinking about it too much? Or is it a result of what was done to him to cause him to be an amnesiac? A theory I just made up is that the Haitian got to him/found him after the season finale?
Claire + West - Ok so Noah is being tracked, and now Claire is all distrustful of her dad, AGAIN. Come on!
Mr. Bennett - So it looks like he’ll be the last to die probably a few episodes before the finale?
Hiro + Kensei + Ando - PRetty cool stuff so far, I like how Hiro just dropped Kensei off to fight against the 90 angry ronin. HA!
So Peter doesn’t want to open the box because he might have been a killer, and instead he chooses to stay with the people who will almost certainly turn him into a killer? Huh?
You know what would have been a cooler Kensei story? If Hiro had to become Kensei, and in the proccess pissed off some big baddie. Instead we get some stupid exposition written by Hiro to Ando to gloss over any character development that could have happened. When I get a message from Hiro in another timeframe to one of the Heroes, I expect bigger results.
Nikki sucks and should be written out of the show.
I’m not saying that the season hasn’t been cool so far, but they certainly tend to treat us (the viewing audience) like idiots sometimes.

Exactly, they really dumb the show down at times it seems.
I was expecting Hiro to have to become Kensi which IMO would have been a much more entertaining story line than a damn narrative.
Why didn’t they have ANY scenes of Kensi fighting the Ronins? ANY! Once again Heroes is all about the buildup for action that they never show or lasts for 30 seconds.
Claire is stupid, she already knew what her step dad used to do.
Does anyone have a recap of the 2nd episode? I missed it… or where it is available online?

I think that “Kensei” will be the great evil that everyone is talking about the “first” set of heroes like Hiro’s Dad and Peter’s Mom. Think about it, the symbol seems to date back with Kensei the first one to discover his “power”. The symbol means “Godsend”. I think that Kensei will be corrupted down the road, Hiro’s Dad was so deligent on Hiro knowing the legend. I think we are going to discover the origins of the past “heroes” through Hiro.

The thought had occured to me as well and that would fit in who killed Hiro’s dad because he’d just heal himself and run away.
But this theory just doesn’t sit well with me. I was thinking it was more like it was one of the “originals” that Linderman/hiro’s dad/petrelli’s betrayed or something.
I’m thinking that there has got to be a plotline that centers around the fact that we are seeing so many ‘duplicate’ powers this season. Kensei is a healer, just like Claire. The boy at Claire’s school is a flyer, just like Nathan.
We didn’t see any overlap in powers in season 1, yet they seem to be overlapping all over the place in season 2. There has to be a reason for that.
Episode 4: The Kindness of Strangers
http://heroeswiki.com/Episode:The_Kindness_of_Strangers
Summary:
- Angela confesses to a murder.
- Claire and West spend some time together.
- Nathan begins to put his life back together.
- Matt learns Molly’s “Nightmare Man” is someone familiar.
- Maya and Alejandro pick up a stranger to whom they can relate.
- Micah’s cousin takes care of their New Orleans family.
- Noah becomes suspicious of his daughter.
The Sylar thing is really irritating me, so he’s Gabriel an angel(i.e. angel of death). He should have been killed off last season. So now he may possibly get a power to kill people instantly.
Does Nathan really look like that??? or is that his own perception of himself? That’s twice that we’ve seen him like that already.
I was pretty surprised that Matt’s dad is the nightmare man, I didn’t see that coming at all. Now Molly is screwed because Matt made her find his dad…great.
Claire keeps lying over and over and over. It’s irritating as HELL I felt like her character last season and this season are very different.
Micah’s cousin kicking that guys ass is pretty funny so her power is learning from TV? Or is it learning what she has seen already.
So far this season has not enthused me like it did last season. Sucks.
Micah’s cousin(forget her name) can copy anything she sees done…such as the rose when earlier on she saw granny doing it(or was that on tv too)
