Yea, he was great. Definitely the funniest character.
OK, but lets talk about the most important character: the hottest character. That girl who face planted off the old fashioned water tower (??) was HOTT.
She has that bloated/pudgy face “ive never worked out” look. None of the girls look like that in track, except a few throwers that dont run-and some of them even look better than the pudgy girls because they (at least) lift. All in all, pudgies are pretty but average at the same time. :/
Is she a track star or a cheerleader?
neither! But in every movie she is a cheerleader lol.
I just got to watch this show; I was a little behind on my DVR.
Man, this show has some serious potential to be a badass piece of work. The pilot sucked me in within 5 minutes. I hope the writing continues to be as good as it was for the first episode.
While he’s not actually one of the “heroes”, my favorite character so far is the Indian doctor.
*****Possible Spoilers:
Someone mentioned the subtleties of the show concerning the doctor stepping on the cockroach. How about the “Dead Bodies” sign right after the doctor finds out about his father, anyone catch that?
One other thing…it’s kind of funny that NBC pooled major dollars into pushing the hell out of Studio 60, yet it lost 2.5 million viewers from the first half hour to the second in its premiere and 2 million more viewers from week 1 to week 2, with a 19% dropoff. Heroes, however, gave NBC the biggest drama debut they’ve seen in five years, pushing the studio to win the overall ratings battle for Monday night.
Here’s the interesting part. Many shows count on their “lead-ins” to help with viewers when they first start out, something that will guarantee lots of people are already on that channel. Studio 60 had Deal or No Deal, NBC’s big-time game show. Heroes, however, had Studio 60 as a lead-in. That means at least a few people who were turning off Studio 60 came back for Heroes.
If Spider-Man started it, Heroes confirmed it: comic books and superhero stories aren’t just for fanboys anymore.

Yeah, fanboys/comic nerds got into the movie industry-thank goodness.
Idk, I didnt think Spiderman was that good at all, mainly because the set-up was Sooooo cheesy. And the girl Realllllly annoyed me. She actually made me squirm in my seat for a while and I nearly walked out because of her in the end.
Also, the pretty rich son got on my nerves too because he was such a bad actor. I dont even remember the second one I think I fell asleep.
I think X-Men made the best movies, although the last one was seen as a bit shaky to some.
Hope Heroes continues to do good. It definitely looks like it will

I’m with you on that one! But what kind of superpower does she have? “My alter-ego goes psycho and kills people.”
I think that’s a mental illness, actually.

Yeah, she’s the only one whose power I don’t really like so far. She passes out and her mirror image does all the fighting for her…
But, the writing so far has been excellent, so I’m just going to trust them on this one and see where they take it.
Yeah, she’s the only one whose power I don’t really like so far. She passes out and her mirror image does all the fighting for her…

Well, yeah. Its kinda obvious, by her chest being nearly concave, that shes too skinny to kill anyone. Shed probably faint before picking up the knife if she didnt have a wierd mirror spirit to do it for her. That wouldnt be too exciting, but this wierd spirit thing is way more exciting becuase the actual lady doesnt have to really do anything and can kill for her.

I think the problem lies in the fact that she seemingly has no control over what her mirror image does; it may start killing people when she doesn’t want it too. Reminds me a lot of the Witchblade (the book, not that crappy ass TV show). That was my favorite book of all-time for a long while.
Hmm, the more I write and think about this, I’m starting to see how this could lead to a great story with her character…the conflict between her true self and her alter ego…

Just watched the show, and I gotta say that I absolutely loved it. Fantastic storylines. As far as the girl not being able to control her alter-ego, I tend to envision this as maybe just something she will learn to control. This is a pretty common theme in superhero storylines. Unlike the Japanese guy that worked so hard to only get an inkling of his power, hers is a reaction she has to learn to control. A subconcious thing maybe.
And I thought the cheerleader was a pretty entertaining character. The faceplant off the watertower just could not have been done any more perfect.
Finally watched the premiere and really enjoyed it. It looks like they’re trying to take the concept seriously.
I’m not sure what the webcam mother’s power is either, but I was kind of wondering if maybe she’s got some ‘strong’ side hidden in her that she hasnt managed to willingly tap into yet. Otherwise, I kind of wonder if she’s being set up as a super-villian.
And about the cheerleader, definitely cute, but yeah, she’s got the pudge. But, I’ve seen plenty of short, stocky, kind of pudgy looking cheerleaders. What gets me about her powers of regeneration is how much pain she’d be putting up with to get so mangled. Damn!
-Hiro! I had no clue about the whole jumping into the future thing unto it was right there in your face. I was all shocked that they had killed the artist already and then his friend tells him he’s been missing for 5 weeks.
-Niki - um…I still don’t understand what the heck her power is, “violent episodes and buries dead bodies in the desert power???” It looks like this isn’t the first time she has killed so what next???
-Cheerleader- So if her dad cuts her skull open fast enough to extract her brain would she grow a new one?
-Cop - Can’t believe those fuckers arrested him!
-Brothers - so they are both fliers, is that it?
-Mohinder - he should have bashed that dude in the head first and asked questions later!!

Where is your entrepreneurial spirit?
Take her to Mexico or anywhere else where the age of consent is lower.

I don’t think that it was her father who took the brains (I may be wrong), I was under the impression that it was whoever left the message for the prof.

Hm I thought it was her dad and/or the people that her dad is associated with/works for.

Last night’s episode I started to think that, as well. When she looked in the trunk and the bodies were in there, I started thinking to myself “Something tells me she may not be one of the ‘good guys’ when this is all said and done…”
Also, last night’s epi was the first time I cringed a little (at the cheese factor, not the violence). When the girl got hit by the football player and her head turned completely backwards? I’m not saying it’s not possible, but it seemed a tad extreme. On top of that, no one other than her friend whose tape was stolen saw her turn a complete 180 with just her head? There was a boatload of people standing there…

Nothing major, just a small critique.
Haha yeah me and my friends were just like, “Who is this guy, Ray Lewis?”
I also thought that Ali Larter’s character could possibly wind up being a villian, or maybe more specifically a kind of neutral force that winds up being a threat to both sides. I got kind of a Dark Phoenix vibe from her.
I have to say my favorite guy on the show is “Super Hiro.” He just plays his part extremely well and I have a feeling that he’s going to turn out to be the key to the show.
