Notes
Just got back from Quebec, hadn’t touched a weight while i was there, though i did meet and talk to Matt court, who gave me some advice for the squat, which i am putting to use. feeling decent, though after this workout my upper body is incredibly sore. and today 27/3/2011 it feels like I’ve strained a hip flexor, though it feels like i could still squat. stretching and foam rolling till Monday, then starting Russian squat routine.
Hey Herc! Wow you’ve got a lot of great video action over here. Nice training. It was fun to see you compete. Is there a big power lifting scene up there?

I’ll answer for him since I teased him about his shirt. He lifts with one of the best clubs in Ontario. The exception, of course being the one I lift with. ha. They have a kick ass meet every year accompanied by a barbecue.

Powerpuff- what ouroboro said, and thank you. I lift at the power pit in belle river Ontario, and I’d say it’s pretty much the best place in Ontario to train, and the powerlifting scene here is a decent size. there should be a new competition video up in a couple weeks after the high school regional meet.

ouroboro- planning on coming this year?

I won’t be at your regional one but I’ll be at the provincial one that’s at the school up the street. I also plan to be at Jerry’s meet in June; not lifting but helping out.
Powerpuff- thanks. the purpose of the plates is this: the bench is ~19 inches high, contest bench is ~16 1/4, the plates make the height difference up so when i go to compete i’m not used to having that high bench. it kind of sucks because if you try to drive with the legs the plates slide and you’re off balance and screwed.
