What do you mean by post, deceleration and woodchopping?I am not very familiar with english terms.

You think you have spinal problems because you have trouble carrying a bookbag? You have NO muscle on your back or your upper body in general so I seriously doubt you are training correctly AT ALL, especially when it comes to doing a deadlift.

You may need to work on your posture as well but anyone actually trying to diagnose you over the internet needs to stop typing. Either see a doctor for your “problem” or accept that actually gaining some muscle and strength overall might just help you carry a backpack.

Someone like you may actually NEED a personal trainer.

Exactly. This guy just needs to train and eat better.

I have scoliosis as well. In fact, I’ve apparently had it for a long time but only just recently found out. As you can see from the picture above, you can’t tell that I have it, and I have a decent back. As for the scoliosis, I wrote about it and posted pics of my spine in my blog:

I have never let it stop me from training hard, and I’ve been able to get leaner or bigger or stronger depending on my goals.

Sure, scoliosis has caused some little issues here and there (mid and lower back pain at times, some other minor issues that I work around), but training is the one thing that has helped prevent more problems from having scoliosis!

Get a trainer. Learn about proper nutrition and training and get to work.

Oh, and see a doctor or chiropractor…and a massage therapist if you can afford it.

i did not say i had problem to carry my bag, i said it felt weird on my back, it keep slipping. I don’t think i am training perfectly but i don’t think i am not training correctly AT ALL. I don’t have NO muscle on my back.

And what’s the problem about doing 4days of sprint and 5 days of lifting per week?

Anyway, original poster, go to a specialist. Get a referral from some GP, if need be. [/quote]

I am a specialist, or so I’ve been told by the opposing gender :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It only took a few years of high school and college to get my degree in that  lol jk

I’m nearing the end of my associates of science in biological science (3yr degree not 2)…and it doesn’t mean sh*t. lol All it says is that I’ve completed every 101 science course available and a few high lever classes. lol

to the OP build muscle/and or see a doctor…that should help with your problem. Deadlifts, pullups, rows will help your back…it’s not a certain specific muscle that should be worked, but the back as a whole. Proper form never hurts as well…

Do you think the average NFL running back has a problem with his back pack slipping off? You are a skinny guy. I know this may come as a shock to you considering you probably think you are swole right now. Gain more muscle.

[/thread]

I don’t think I ever had problems with my schoolbag slipping off my back… Even 8 years ago when I weighed all of 120 lbs soaking wet and with loose change in my pockets

Maybe buy a backpack that’s right for your size ?

Other than that, yeah, go see a doc (don’t worry, they’re not all as big and evil as Professor-X) and get huge… Problem solved.

enough of this bullshit. Why are people ripping on each other on this forum, when the guy just wants some freakin help with his scoliosis?

It is scoliosis, by the way, because you don’t have to be diagnosed with it, if your spine is laterally crooked then you have some degree of scoliosis, unless something in their is shattered, which doesn’t seem to be the case.

There are several things you can do to help your back, and you should be able to recover, although there will probably be significant soreness while the spine repositions.

When you work out, make sure that you look in a mirror or have a personal trainer ensure that your back is in perfect posture during all exercises. This will feel strange because your back has been out of whack for some time…but you have to reallign it like you would bend a bent fork back straight. Eventually your body will take to the new position.

I agree that your deadlifting form is, pardon the bluntness, complete shit. The only thing you can really do is find someone taht actually knows how to do a perfect deadlift, which is about 1 percent of the population…and have them show you how to do a deadlift, period.

They are one of the best - if not the best - exercises for your back development, but only if you are doing them correctly. Your scapula must be retracted and pulled down into its most stable position…and your back must be tight and straight throughout the lift. Don’t make the mistake of letting your back bend. Ideally, there should be little to no movement in your back at all. The isometric contraction of the deadlift is what you need.

Remember, deadlifts look easy, but they are very technical…find someone who knows what they’re talking about.

You need to get your spine into proper position and hold it there. That itself could be an exercise.

Damn ProX you seem stressed out lately, are you depressed? My girlfriend has depression (mainly because she is dating me) and she acts the same way you are acting so you must have it too. If you need to talk, feel free to PM as I am a internet psychologist.

It looks like you don’t even workout! Hit each muscle group 2 x week. 2 exercises for each bodypart, 5x10. Rest long enough so you can put everything into each set. Pm me if you want more.

wtf yo, posts like these are the worst. im not gonna get into their whole diagnosis argument but seriously stop riding dick and putting shit up like this. everyone on here is waaaaaay too negative as is. we dont need anybody having their ego blown up; not a stab at professor but rather it shouldnt be done when discussing anyone.

Why can’t we all just get along…?

Really? Wow! You guys are awesome. Can you diagnose more people with their problems or issues by looking at a picture??? You’ll be the next messiah!

What makes you think it’s scoliosis? Can you see scoliosis in the picture of me that I posted at the bottom of page 2? Ummmm…nope! But I have it!

So you can’t just diagnose someone over the internet based on a photo or what they decide to type!

No one can diagnose anyone else unless they are a medical professional who has evaluated the condition in person! Unless it’s so obvious that someone can see and make the call…i.e. Someone has a cut on their body that is bleeding and you can obviously tell that it’s a cut and it’s bleeding.

So how can you tell this guy has scoliosis or anything else wrong with him other than a lack of muscle? because he has a curve in his lower back? Or is it because his picture is posted sideways?

What the fuck? This thread should’ve ended three pages ago with the advice to see a doctor because you can’t tell shit from a picture online. Earlier someone posted a thread asking what foods had protein in them. Good christ. In my month away, I forgot the idiocy that sometimes permeates this site.
