Matty will have some squat video up on thursday or friday. Thanks
Wait, you’re entering a meet? Wow, have I been out of it. Best of luck - those are good numbers for openers.
Hey Cav, good to hear everything is going well, thats right entering a meet on Feb 18th USAPL. Not going to worry about it, just train hard. Will be fun I’m sure.

No problem with that depth.
Snap - That was as low as I could get, now we will see in the morning if I can maintain it with some weight. Will post video in the am if all goes well. All that stretching is paying off. Trying for 4oo something. Alot of it is attitude for me at the higher weights.
Lotta people jumping into competitions. Give it your best at the meet and enjoy.

I have no doubt you will crush that squat. Im the same way with attitude, sometimes Im defeated before I even attempt a weight, trying to get out of that negative mindset.
315x2
Matty- good workout today , squated up to 425x2 after a slight attitude adjustment. Ripped my shorts good , you’ll see at 405 video.
Snap here’s todays video.
405 Rip
Hel didn’t see your post thanks and I will.
Here’s 405 after rip with sweats on.
Ran out of SD card so can’t show 425x2, was PO guy kept walking up askin g if I was done with the plates , (attitude set in and ripped 425 for 2)
Thanks for posting. You’re cutting it very close for USAPL standards and are definitely high on a few. You’ve obviously got the strength, so you’ll have to keep working on the mobility if that’s the limiting factor.
When’s your meet?
Snap the lift is on the 18th, I have had such a vast improvement on my range of motion in just the last two weeks, I think it will continue to improve right up to the meet. So Im pretty confident that if I start low enough in weight and get a good qualified lift on the first round I think I will not hesitate to go low on the next few lifts. I really appreciate your input.
My coach always advises me to bury my first squat attempt. It psychologically predisposes the refs to remember that you’re a deep squatter when you come up for your subsequent attempts. If you cut the first one close, the refs will be on guard to watch your depth more closely. I bet one of my acquaintances will be reffing your meet. Have to check into it.
I will for sure snap. That would be really cool if you did know some of the judges.
