Help Wanted

425 x 2 is very solid. I have a ways to go before I can do that.

And, I’m with Snap that another 1-2" of depth would be a good idea just to avoid any red lights.

Git 10-4 I will keep working on depth.

Good luck on the meet.

Remember what Snap said, go easy on the opener and bury it.

How much deload will you do before the meet?

Snap 10-4 the wife will be there to video.

Joe Will do.

Cav I am just doing main lifts this week with 2 sets of one accessory lift with 5 reps. Next week I am just going to strewtch and do some mobility lifts (main) with like 135 for 10 or so.

Ran 3.5 slow 35 min will do some mili’s tonight with dips +20#s

Kill it bro!

Thanks Matty - The training is up a notch for sure. Last night was doing weighted dips ,haven’t done those in a long time, they felt great, and push presses where amazingly easy. This deload is going to work great. Just have to remember to hydrate better.

Last full workout DL’s up to 385x2 then 3 sets of speed DL’s
Abds SU’s, bridges,BE,GHR

Felt like a made a breakthrough on the DL, Set up is dialed in like never before thanks everyone who has posted video’s of theirs, it all helps.

Next Saturday is the meet its deload from here.Rest,Stretch,Hydrate and some light stuff.

Eat, eat, eat!

Cav- Will do gladly, right now I’m 240 so no problem with the weight in. Carbs MMMMMmmmmmm.
Ran some intervals and stretched today.

Eat , Sleep, Stretch, all this waiting is killing me. This is the most sedentary I’ve been in a long time.

The week before a meet is always difficult for me. Lots of nervous energy and not a whole lot to do with it.

Again, good luck.

Thanks Snap, starting to work on the getting in the right frame of mind.

Well… Power lifting meet report. Left house a 4am, weight in 241 lbs good to go. Warm up , got alot of pointers from some lifters from Grand Rapids MI. (nice guys) squat got opener 185KG then proceeded to miss the next (poor form leaned to far forward) and red lighted the next attempt, Bench press warmed up well and got ready for first attempt at 140 KG though peice of cake right, well I didn’t prepare well enough for the pause at the chest before pressing was not able to lock out a single BP at 140. Torked the back on the last attempt, didn’t attempt Dead lifting with my back out of wack, so thats where the day ended. 4 hour drive back home^%$%%^*. Well I was fun besides, I learned alot , what shoes not to where, when and when not to warm up, saw alot of great lifters, got alot of good feedback on training, will I do it again hell yes. 50 lifters showed up for the meet, lasted about ten hours but was worth the trip. Next time I will pick one in my zip code. Video will be posted on monday, got called in to work after getting home tonight won’t be home til monday now. See Ya

Congratulations on your first meet! Sorry about the bench bomb. Live and learn. You have a baseline now and can move forward. I hope you enjoyed the experience.
