This shit is so unnecessary

The problem is that people think that only someone like them can solve a problem: only a woman can deal with women’s issues, only a black man can deal with issues concerning black people, on and on.

This leads to delusional thinking, like that of Prof X. Its the equivalent of a conspiracy theory. The white man is the Illuminati and the black man is the abused slave.

If you talk about anything like this, you get labelled a racist and ignored by Prof X…which is no loss.

The kind of delusional thinking that led your famous thread?

"What’s a good age to buy a vibrator for my daughter? Any way to tell? I’m guessing when she’s 12? Too early?

I would buy it, put it in one of her clothing drawers, with a note saying something like: “Don’t mention this. Just use it, ignore it, throw it away, whatever you want. I love you, Dad.”"

Is that the kind of delusional thinking you’re referring to?

Oh wait,no,you mean that you’re the rational one.

Got it.

There’s a bunch of issues I’d change my tune on depending on who’s fingers are on the buttons. The line item veto comes to mind right off the bat. I’d love it if my guys could use it and hate it if the other guys could.

Anybody even halfway politically aware believes certain powers can be as good or bad as the people in charge. I’m just being honest about it. I’m no fan of the patriot act as written, but individuals with the authoritarian elitest views of this incoming group can turn it from an unfortunate, but thus far largely harmless and sometimes beneficial intrusion, into an outright political invasion of privacy.

I’m not necessarily convinced they would do that at this point. I do however, find it much easier to believe that nanny state, we know what’s best for you types like these clowns would.

The difference is, I do believe Bush did it in a genuine though maybe sometimes misguided pursuit of national security. Leftists have a tendency to define national security in terms of what threatens their benevolent aganda.

If it ever did come up it was in the contest of how his brand of policy has been a disaster for the very people it was alleged to have been implemented to help. Once in a great while somebody mentioned that he attended an overtly racist church, but even then the problem was not with his “blackness”.

I have not lost all respect for Professor X personally as he says he now has for me, but Doc there has been 1 million times more concentration on race since after the election and you came back in here. Not even saying if that’s good or bad, just that it is.

I went for stretches of days at a time or even weeks maybe in here without seeing any mention at all of race.

YOU, Professor X, are the one keeping racism on life support in here. Not one of the very vocal conservatives here has given any indication that race is anything like the issue for them that it is for you.

You can call me names and scowl at your monitor wondering how you ever used to like that asshole, but the problem remains with you. Race relations will never improve while black people continue to see this society as a horde of enemies with a KKK gene just waiting for it’s next expression.

I live in the most racist area imaginable left in this nation and it is just not so for most of the whites even here. There are a few simpletons left, but this country is simply not full of black hating bigots.[/quote]

Are you sure, because I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what it’s full of. I’ve grown up rambling around rural areas of the country and they are not bastions of tolerance or equality.

That’s one reason I rip black ‘culture’ — they seem to have this odd desire to live with minimal thought, while blaming whitey for all their troubles. The perceived facts(along with a few actual facts) that you repeat like a broken record do not substantiate an understanding of “black culture.”

YOU started a “Black People’s Perception of Racism” thread. Why don’t you address what is directed at you concerning this argument you continue to make?? Or is that too much to ask of a self-admitted troll??? I swear you’re the lowest of cowards.

I know your self proclaimed quest to get people to ‘think’ makes you all warm and fuzzy inside, but please,at least make a half decent effort to disguise the fact that what you really mean is ‘make people think like me’.Because really, you’re making a piss poor effort.

I’m sure once you’re in a place where you’re surrounded by racist misogynist khaki wearing clones, you will be as happy as a pig in shit.

You are such an exponent of the 1984 jackboot theory of society that it beggars belief how you can actually, with any degree of seriousness, ever use that book as an example of the things you stand against.

But at least you’re mildly amusing occasionally,so carry on.

Very well said. I am not sure most of these people truly understand the concept of America in the first place if these laws are fine as long as the elected official is who they voted for but bad as soon as someone you didn’t vote for hits office.

And he came into power how?

Off topic, but got this today…Hilarious

You know what would really PISS OFF the Democrats…

Bush should resign now.

Then Dick Cheney becomes President (that would really PISS OFF the liberals)!!!

Then he appoints Condoleeza Rice as VP.

Then Cheney resigns two weeks later and Condoleeza Rice, A Republican, becomes the first BLACK President and the first WOMAN President !!!"

That would piss off “liberals”?

First, I don’t even know one person who classifies themselves as “liberal”. That seems to be a term that conservatives have taken and run with despite the fact that few are actually using it in reference to themselves.

Right. yet we have several who will claim they are conservatives on this forum…how many have claimed they are “liberals”?

Who much of anywhere outside of some artsy college student is calling themselves a “liberal”?

Many of you use this term to act as if “liberalism” is evil yet where are all of these self proclaimed “liberals”?

I’m not much for labels and I can’t talk for anyone but my self. Apparently some one is calling themselves a liberal if arts kids are doing it. I have also never used the term “Liberalism” so who you are referring to I do not know.

I never said “Liberalism” is evil…Your defending liberals pretty strongly are you perhaps one. This was exactly the response I was looking for.
