Help Stop Obama!

Coleman lost my vote when he voted for the bailout. He has alway been a moderate at best, but that put me over the edge and I let his office know it several times before and after the vote.

There was also a relatively popular independant that left the republican party(15%). I was one of the .48% that voted Libertarian. Couple that with an incredibly liberal state full of brain-dead dipshits paying one of the highest state tax rates in the country all ready. MN is a great place to live aside from our ridiculous politics.

Prof, while catching up on this thread I noticed a spelling mistake… I think you meant that he’s an idiot.

I remember arguing long and hard about the risks both at the time and in the future concerning the patriot act.

I know I was fucking arguing with somebody (many, who suggested paranoia on my behalf as well as those who complained it was anti-Bush on my behalf)… and I’ll be damned if I’m going to go back through many years of posts to look up names.

Poor Ted Stevens. Just because he’s a convicted felon, some people seem to believe he’s unfit to hold office.

Were will the GOP find qualified candidates if criminals are to be considered off-limits?
Last time I checked (a few years) there were 9 former house and senate members in prison. 7 were democrats. Though I agree that Stevens is unfit for office, but the GOP could still have retained the seat.

But that isn’t what “straight talkin’” Professor X said, is it?

He claimed that conservatives were changing their tune on the Patriot Act based on a different party occupying the White House.

Those posts many years ago have nothing to do with that notion because Obama hadn’t won the election yet, so no one could have changed their mind on the Patriot Act based on Obama getting elected…which was “straight talkin’” Professor X’s post I sought clarification on.

Swing…and a miss.

Not everyone votes on the criteria of “seat control”. I’d posit that the majority of society is not that political.

You disappoint vroom I thought you were better than that.
Yes, it is a little odd that Vroom - who hasn’t participated in this thread at all - shows up to deliver a gratuitous name-calling…from behind Professor X’s apron.

Ah well, not a big deal. If Vroom aspires to be an anklebiter, who are we to stop him? His choice, he is a grown man after all - even if it isn’t apparent on its face.

You aren’t that bright.

From Nov 16 2008 at 7:59 on the fucking previous page:
You apparently do follow this board closely despite your time restraints to know or care what every single person’s political stance is in detail.

For those of us who have avoided this area, we are not as in the know about who believes what and will take statements as a sentiment of majority opinion if no one speaks against it at all. Clearly, there are no conservatives who think the Patriot Act was a mistake.

Duly noted. You will speak up if anyone DARES question republican sentiment concerning the Patriot Act…but remain silent as other posters fill the board up with racially motivated threads designed to insight turbulence.
You’ve been answered. You’ve been given names as far as people screwing up this forum. No one is afraid of you and I won’t be going round and round with you when I have already answered you before simply because you can’t read.

Have a great one, dumbass.

I can’t believe you thought I wasn’t responding to you because I FEARED you.

LOL!!!

Hilarious - another empty non-answer.

Clearly not - you haven’t named a single person responsive to your claim. It doesn’t matter whose politics I know or don’t know around here - that is irrelevant to the claim you made, which I merely asked about.

Who said anyone should be afraid of me?

And we both know you haven’t answered the question - you and I both know:

 1. You tried a stupid and smug “I told you so” on the Patriot Act and screwed it up with no basis for the claims

 2. Someone pointed that out by asking for the basis for your claim

 3. You know damn well it was wrong and dumb, but your outsized ego prevents you from saying “duh, that was wrong and dumb.”

And we don’t go “round and round” - you make a statement, I challenge you on it, and you waste no time executing a full-retreat while trying to change the subject to “raaaaaaaacism everywhere!!!”

All the better you duck out - I don’t come here to babysit bloviating phonies.

Are you insane? You have Mick28 cheering you on and you don’t think there’s a problem there?

I wrote out the words that clearly there are no conservatives who think as such…and you are still asking the question?

Are you OK? You were answered days ago. Take your medication, quickly.

All I know is, just like the campaign itself, I have seen very little substantive mention of Obama’s race, or anybody else’s, from his critics in these forums. I have been in here a few months now and that has just not been an issue. In the overwhelmingly vast majority of cases.

If it ever did come up it was in the contest of how his brand of policy has been a disaster for the very people it was alleged to have been implemented to help. Once in a great while somebody mentioned that he attended an overtly racist church, but even then the problem was not with his “blackness”.

I have not lost all respect for Professor X personally as he says he now has for me, but Doc there has been 1 million times more concentration on race since after the election and you came back in here. Not even saying if that’s good or bad, just that it is.

I went for stretches of days at a time or even weeks maybe in here without seeing any mention at all of race.

YOU, Professor X, are the one keeping racism on life support in here. Not one of the very vocal conservatives here has given any indication that race is anything like the issue for them that it is for you.

You can call me names and scowl at your monitor wondering how you ever used to like that asshole, but the problem remains with you. Race relations will never improve while black people continue to see this society as a horde of enemies with a KKK gene just waiting for it’s next expression.

I live in the most racist area imaginable left in this nation and it is just not so for most of the whites even here. There are a few simpletons left, but this country is simply not full of black hating bigots.
Professor X wrote:

You should highlight sections you add later as “edits” - lest we think you dishonest.

And where exactly did I say that you weren’t responding to me because you were scared of me?

Your claim. Substantiate it.

And, by the way, what is this obsession with how “you don’t FEAR me”? Why do you keep offering rebuttals about “intimidation” that I haven’t suggested?

Good Lord - what a complex you have. This is the part where I would refer to your “black hole” of insecurity, but you’d probably start shrieking that I used a racist term.

Here, this will fix your wounded pride - go buy an Under Armour shirt a size too small and put it on, drive to the nearest mall, wear your sunglasses inside the whole time, and start flexing up on packs of 16 year olds who won’t yield the walkway in the Best Buy.

Maybe that can salvage your precious ego - because you certainly aren’t going to get anything but chuckled at around here.

Here Prof, here’s some guys for you to argue with:

www.stormfront.com (or is it www.stormfront.org)?

He has named Mick28 and yours truly as racists. When asked to identify other racists, he couldn’t. When Mick asked him to find ONE instance of racism, he couldn’t. And the only ‘racism’ he can find about me is my telling black people to quit looking for racism and go get an education…and marry the mother of your children. Pretty terrible stuff, huh?

I hope he goes to talk to real racists, like on that Stormfront site. Who knows? He may learn what real whack job racists are like.

I’d like to say it doesn’t mean anything to me, but I’m genuinely bummed. I’ve had a lot of good times in these forums with Professor X and I will consider it a loss even if he doesn’t if something like racism turns us into enemies.

This shit is so unnecessary

The problem is that people think that only someone like them can solve a problem: only a woman can deal with women’s issues, only a black man can deal with issues concerning black people, on and on.

This leads to delusional thinking, like that of Prof X. Its the equivalent of a conspiracy theory. The white man is the Illuminati and the black man is the abused slave.

If you talk about anything like this, you get labelled a racist and ignored by Prof X…which is no loss.
