So the doctor ‘examined’ the ara without actually touching it? Wow.
Nah he felted my nips and moved them all around and looked at the side profile then said yep. Thats gyno.
I know that sueezing another mans nipples can be a bit wierd, but that’s medicine for ya. He should have got over those ‘issues’ and examined the tissue properly.
Anyway.
Hmm, so you aren’t pubertal, and you aren’t obese (I assume, since your doctor thinks you are a gearhead). That rules out the 2 most obvious causes.
Next obvious is Xenoestrogens or phytoestrogens. Any soy in your diet, any environmental sources of E close to you?
Not that I know of. I just take in what I listed earlier in the thread.
You haven’t started eating your wifes’ birth control pills have you?
Hahahahah …yeah just what I have always wanted to do. Eat those. Nah …no wife or girlfriend. Just some poon on the side.
The only other thing I can think of is some sort of androgen secreting tumor, usually in the adrenal medulla (a phaeochromocytoma) or in the ovaries (though not in your case, lol|).
The extra androgens could be affecting your sleep, hence leaving you tired and lethargic during the day. More importantly, the excess androgens are likely aromatising into elevated E levels, hence the gyno.
Any other symptoms, such as:
Anxiety or panic attacks
Have Anxiety/Panic attacks from previous drug abuse. But no episodes in a long time.
Palpitations
Tremor
Sweating
Headache
Flushing
Nausea and/or vomiting
Weight loss
Constipation or diarrhoea
Raynaud’s phenomenon
Chest pain
Polyuria/nocturia
However some patients do not have these symptoms, even though a Phaeo usually oversecretes catacholamines, which affect blood pressure, and reduce appetite, etc.
You mention having a 3 month history of tiredness especially after eating. This doesn’t really fit with the Phaeo scenario, but certainly warrants further digging. You said the doc took bloods. Any idea what was tested? I’m guessing thyriod and FBC (full blood count) as these are the differentials for anyone complaing of tiredness and lethargy. Anything else that you know of?
I was tested for everything under the sun. Sugars, creatine, thyroid, Blood count. I remember that he checked almost everything on the list. Everything came back normal he said.
Good luck with the investigation. Unfortunately, because your doctor seems tohave jumped to the incorrect conclusion that it is steroid induced gyno, he may never be inclined to consider this case properly, but lets hope he does pull his finger out.
Bushy
I can only hope he will come to a conclusion that is correct. Its not like I can switch Dr’s cause there is a shortage of them here. Nobody is taken patients. I would have switched a long time ago.
Good at least he palpitated them then. Wow, so all of the tests came back normal? I don't understand why these guys don't/won't test for estrodiol etc.? Do you remember seeing any e tests being done?
What other hormone tests did he run if you can remember?
It's a damn shame you're in a situation where you just physically can't even find/use a different doctor. This guy just seems like he finds the whole scenario "irritating" to himself. Smug sob. Just keep trying to locata a diff doctor dirt. Maybe there is a more homeopathic style doc somewhere around the area who might be more considerate of your situation no?
best of luck, and if all else fails let's get you on some kind of nolva protocol to start. I would say it's worth a shot definitely.

This last test that comes in on friday is full spectrum. Tested everything that was to be tested. So I might go and get the nolva but if I can get him to prescribe it. That would be better.
