Hello everyone. I am new to the Forums. I’ve been following T-Nation for sometime now but never got up the nerve to ask for help until now. I’ve been working out off and on for about a year. I never really got into my health until 4 months ago. I’ve tried all the journals, read books, kept a food log but could never stick with any of it. I have been slipping. I can’t slip anymore! I’m tired of being tired! I need help but I don’t know where to start! I am a complete beginner. If someone has advice that I can use on staying on track please tell me!
I am a wife and mother (two wonderful kids) but they sabotage my workouts and diet. How can I stick to a workout plan/diet and entertain/feed my family properly without losing or alienating them? My husband is very fit but he really doesn’t have time for me he’s so busy with his work. I have know where left to turn to. If someone can take pity on me and give me some words of wisdom that I can use then let me know.
In the past 4 months I have been doing weights (Mon, Wed, Fri). In the past 2 months I have included weights (Mon, Wed, Fri) with walks, not runs (bad knees) on (Tues, Thurs, Sat). My weights consisted of an all over body workout on those three days. I’m ready to move on but I don’t know how. What is my next step?
@ JLone thank you for the start. It’s something to help me get my workout started.
@ Kakno My son is 12 and my daughter is 9. Neither want to workout with mom but I do need to start my son on weights. I just need to figure out my plan first. Then I can concentrate on them.
There is a lot of information out there on how to lose weight. How do I determine the science from the quack medicine without getting a major in Bio Chemistry?

Stick to this site, and if you have questions about a specific part of a diet read the review at the end. If you have questions past that then ask in a thread as most diets already have threads.
