Help Fixing Sticking Points?

hey whats up this is my first post on here. I’ve been reading through this site for a little over a year but i am computer retarded and just learned how to subscribe and post.

Anyway heres my deal. my bench press has a very weak sticking point. do you have any suggestions of how to build past this. i bench 260 but it almost stops about 3 inches off my chest and i can finish with no help. when I get to 275 my partner gives me a little tap at that same point (about 3 inches off my chest) then i can lock it out. with an inzer rage X shirt on 300 is no problem at all. 330 became a problem.

what it all boils down to is I need sugestions to make my lock out stronger and how to get past a sticking point.

Thanks for any help OB

Which is more important to you? Shirted or raw numbers? Not saying you can’t push both up, but it’s probably a bit easier to focus on one in the short term.

I have to say shirted I lift in a federation that allows unlimited plys. however my raw numbers are very important to me

Are you doing any cambared bar and shoulder press work?

Trainign your lokcout’s really simple tbh, board work all the way!!

sounds like you need to focus on lat development and speed work.

whats up bud rich i never did camber bar work and i do very little shoulder press work. i’m going to start doin some more shouder work along with board presses. thanks alot though i’ll let you guys know how it works out

I think robo1 is right. If you’re getting stuck near the bottom, your lats are probably weak. You have to row heavy in order to bench heavy.
