Mike, are there any supplements you think are worth taking?
There are tons worth taking. A good multi vitamin, probiotics, creatine, fish oil, leucine, timing caffiene, etc. I have really had my supplements dialed in the last month or so and I think it is making a huge difference.
What do you class as a good multi?

How much fish oil do you take?

How do the probiotics help?

Yes, this is an interrogation mwahahahahahaha

Since most of what I type on here get moderated and deleted, I can’t get too specific. A good multi=doesnt have a billion percent of all the vitamins. Also, if you can find one that has detoxifying components, probiotics, and dhydrated veggies, that would be ideal. Kills 4 birds with one stone.

Personally, I will take 4-5g with every meal. I don’t know if that is the smartest thing ever because some studies suggest 9g of DHA? (I think) can activate dormant cancer cells.

Probiotics are just awesome. That’s how they help. Even if there is a minimal increase, they help with digestion and nutrient absorbtion.

There are tons of awesome supplements out there. You just have to sift through a ton of bullshit to find them.

Do you think those studies are right about that? Thats a scary prospect, definetely not stopping me from my 1.2 gs a day but still

Are you still taking ZMA? I liked the article you did on it.

Re: probiotics, how many billions of bacteria do they contain roughly?

Reason I ask is I have been told you need to take like 10-20 billion minimum per day and a lot of cheaper brands are only like 1 billion per pill, so they’re having minimal effect. Or maybe this is BS?

Also, do you take these year round or just for like 8 weeks then stop for a few months, as my understanding is you “top up” your levels then you don’t need to take them for a while.

Also, do you “feel” the difference, e.g. better digestion, less gas etc, or not really.

Also, how is the weight gain going? Are you still lokking to be 315 next year?

Thanks

Most of them seem pretty accurate. I think of all of the other things to worry about on this shit planet, taking too much fish oil should be somewhere near the bottom of the list.

Honestly, the actual number of probiotics people need does not seem like an exact science. I know for me, I could probably drink gasoline and eat nails without too much GI distress. There is a lot of genetics that goes into how many disgestive enzymes you have at your disposal (some studies suggest the lack of these is why we have an obesity problem).

Anyway, 10 billion seems high. I take around 5. You’ve got to consider as well, if we eat more, do we naturally start to make more enzymes to break down the larger influx of food? Most studies deal with normal people who don’t eat enough food anyway. Those recommendations probably don’t apply to people eating 3, 4, 5, or 6 thousand calories a day.

I think you can take them however you want. There isn’t anything I have seen that suggests you have to cycle off of probiotics at any point.

Weight gain: Yes. I am not doing it like a fat kid though. I am shooting for 2-3lbs a month and I am still conditioning my ass off. I should be 285lbs by MD States novemebr 10th.

You seem too cool to have ever been a butt winker.

He’s going to tell you to stretch your lateral hamstrings and BB roll your hammies  he told me to do that, and it’s really helping!

I got to about 15 before I realized I forgot my belt. I was pretty much on another planet at that point so the actual amount that is sucked didn’t kick in until I was done.

BB Rolled IT bands? You are a sick bastard.

… Are you stalking me or something? Today was the first day I did a max close grip bench in like 6 months. That’s creepy/oddly comforting.

Close grip is usually shoulder width for me. So about a thumbs length from the smooth part of a competition power bar. Sometimes I will go super close grip (like today) where my hands are inside the smooth part.

I used to have a big ol’ buttwink. Mostly because my lower back was weak and my hamstrings were tight. I fixed both and only have a mild wink on lower box squats, which is perfectly fine.

x2 on barbell rolling hammies.

Well I only get butt wink once I start to get down really far cause I bascially have no idea where parallel is so I go ATG. Do you think it’s fine that my butt winks then? It doesn’t seem possible to not butt wink when I go down so far, I don’t know how anyone’s body can do that…
Umm people in my log also suggested good mornings, will that plus hamstring stretching/rolling be good? Also, should i stop worrying about it so much?

ANd I am not stalking you per say, but I only have 57 facebook friends and out of those 57 only 2 people do/say interesting things and you’re one of them, heh.

why did you do the 5 doubles at 87%?
