Looks like my openers are going to be 600, 400, 720. Feeling ok after deloading the last two weeks. I am thinking that a really good day could put me right at or over 1900lbs. Shitty day=1800. We will see.

Last lifting sessions today. I am just going to do a mock meet with 30% of my projected 3rd.
I would love to see you break 2000 one day.

I know I am capable of at least that much. Just a bunch of stupid shit I’ve got to get in order first.
Injuries?
Structural problems. I was born with a serious leg length deviation that completely and totally fucks up my back/hips. Tons of pressure mostly but sometimes it hurts too bad to even stand up straight. The heavier my squats get, the worse the pain is. The biggest problem is my hips are all out of whack. My right hip has too much anterior tilt, my left is pointing posterior.

Stretching helps somewhat. So does a chiro. The only relief I get is when I don’t squat. The load on my spine is a god damn hurricane of pain in my lower back.

Plan is, after this meet, to keep the load to as little as possible for a little while. I am still going to do light speed squats but that will be about it until I can get this under control. Some recent symptons are leading me to think I might have some nerve damage in there somewhere now. Oh well, I can still bench from a wheelchair.

That will be amazing. After that I want to see the day when Stormthehamburgerbeachtrain surpasses Konstantinovs’ raw total.
Again, something I am totally capable of. My stagnant bench is finally going up after years of being in the shitter. Deadlift has always improved little by little. My best gym squat ever was 680lbs with just a belt on. That was a couple of years and a couple injuries ago. Someone has a video of that somewhere.

Anyway, I really need to get my shit togetehr with taking care of these issues I have and I need to stop just waiting for them to get better.

If I look drunk when you get there it is because I bombed out and got drunk.

OMG!!

!!!

Maybe you’re going to get to be on the cover of Powerlifting USA magazine?!?!

Then I can read about you while I go to the bathroom :DDDDD

Good luck tomorrow broseph.

Have you thought about seeing a PT? It sounds, obviously, like some sacroiliac issues which we’re actually covering right now. Not sure what the chiropractor does but there are some muscle energy techniques and different mobilizations that might possibly help. But again, not sure if the chiro has already tried these on you. SI pain can really radiate all around that region and even down the leg. But you’ll also probably need to find a male therapist who was formally an athlete so that you can get aggressive enough treatment

Mike, what sort of programming do you think is appropriate for the novice raw lifter? Something like 5/3/1? Unfortunately, my gym sucks - we have no bands or chains - so I guess that rules out Westside?

I have the same problem with my legs and hips and the structure is just getting worse over time. It sucks balls! Anyway, hope the meet goes well.
