It’s not that hard to work up to
When you are almost 300 pounds, I doubt it.
Yeah but if you consider someone who fits that description and only cares to get better at push ups, then they’d likely seek to lose weight.
I can honestly say:

That was really fucking hard.
Spock81 wrote:

I did 100 straight, sat up for a couple seconds and stretched my chest out becuase it felt like I was either tearing my pecs off the bone or was having a massive cardiac event, and then did 2 more sets of 50. It sucked.

OMg are you being evacuated or something??
I was. My area got really really fucked up. My house is fine, in my garage though: a bunch of my lifting equipment got ruined, I lost about half of my books (which honestly almost made me start crying), and every single one of my old training notebooks (logged everything I’ve done since I was 15 years old) was destroyed.

The outside of my house looks like a bomb went off. Shit everywhere. If anyone was following, the fishing peir in ocean city collapsed during the storm… well one of the 50 foot pilings ended up in my backyard and actually hit the side of my house. Took some siding and a storm drain with it but think about this:

That peir is out over the ocean, my house is on the bay. It took an almost 10 nautical mile journey around the inlet, up the bay, and into my yard. If it would have hit my house dead-on, I wouldn’t have a house anymore.

My area got so messed up that people from CNN were walking by while I was cleaning shit up and I did a live interveiw yesterday.

Looking at waht happened to NY and NJ, I was very lucky. The worst part about this whole mess was every gym within 75miles has been closed for three days ad I havent been able to do any of my delaod meet training stuff. Oh well, I’m not dead and I still have a roof over my head.

Man, I got shitfaced on Monday. It was all I could do to not have a panic attack thinking about all my plates and barbells I had to leave when I evacuated.

Thanks.

Thanks man. Looks like you guys have a shit load of work to do up there. Did you make it through the storm ok?

Very sorry to read about the loss of your gear and books. That sucks. But I’m glad you are doing OK.

Omg man. That’s the kind of shit that would really upset me. Sorry to hear it.

Sorry to hear about that, Mike. I would be devastated if I lost my books. I’m glad you survived, though!

Sorry your stuff got ruined but glad you’re ok!

x2, brutal man. I do love your attitude of ‘worst thing is that all the gyms were closed for 3 days.’

x3!!! ANd x2 for Gmoore’s second comment.

I would be going nutso with no gym!!

Thanks everybody. My post Sandy write-up:

Everything was too wet yesterday to do anything with. So, had to work from 6-2 today then had clients from 2-330. After that, from 330 to 8, I removed each piece of equipment from my garage and hand washed the shit out of it.

Every plate, every bar, every floor mat, everything. Most of the plates had already begun to rust. If they get worse over the next couple of days, I am going to hit them with naval gel… which is horrible fucking stuff if you have ever used it before. Stuff I lost: both of my weight trees, a couple pairs of shoes, my olympic dumbbell handles, my supra curl bar, all of my spring collars and a pair of my new prolocs, all of my training notebooks, about 40% of my books… which was a shit load of books, and god nows how many plates will be rusted to shit in a couple weeks.

Did everything I could. I don’t work at all tomorrow so I might pull it all out and clean it all again. I was hoping everthing would be dry enough to use today but it wasn’t and I am going to run a high powered fan on everything all night. Since I have keys to every gym in Ocean City, pretty much:

Wednesday- 10-31-12- Effed up schedule, feel awful bench day:

Barely warmed-up

Bench on an awful bar, with bad weights, on a bench that was built for a midget with no legs.- 135x5x10,
185x10, 225x5, 275x5, 330(75% of predicted 3rd)x10x1<~~~~ smoked every rep.

225x30/3 min rest/20=50 total

Weird row machine with 5 different handles on each side (Jesus Christ, I was really missing my garage at this point)- I put as many plates as could fit on the machine and did a set of 10 on each handle.

Face Pulls with a tricep rope out of a cable crossover machine that someone with some kind of palsy had a night terror about then made it a real life doppleganger apparition of a decent piece of workout equipment
50lbs? What does this even mean x 3x25

Tri Extensions with same rope/machine horror- 50x10, 60x10, 70x10, 80x10, 95x10. There werent any plates left.

Pallof Presses- (all for a ten count)- 30lbs, 40lbs, 50lbs, 60lbs

Done. More tomorrow… from the garage if stuff has dried out a little.

Looks like my openers are going to be 600, 400, 720. Feeling ok after deloading the last two weeks. I am thinking that a really good day could put me right at or over 1900lbs. Shitty day=1800. We will see.

Last lifting sessions today. I am just going to do a mock meet with 30% of my projected 3rd.

I would love to see you break 2000 one day.

but we need that number… a removable discontinuity in the real world would tragic… there’d be no round conversion for a ton

I know I am capable of at least that much. Just a bunch of stupid shit I’ve got to get in order first.

That will be amazing. After that I want to see the day when Stormthehamburgerbeachtrain surpasses Konstantinovs’ raw total.
