Well, slight change in plans. I have to start my diet early because I got a spot on the unequipped World Team in June. I have already started eating a little cleaner and working on some nutrient timing stuff. Just with that I am already down to 277lbs as of this morning. Thats about 11lbs in 2 weeks. Being fat is awesome.
Friday-3/22/13- S=5, M/P=through the f*cking roof
100 tri ext.
100 face pulls
10 mins of 15s sprint/45s coast on a spin bike
100 ab pull downs
DUDE THIS IS CRAZY!! You’re totally going to be on the cover of powerlifting USA magazine now!

As in driving past Wendy’s instead of stopping to order 3 triple classics. Just less shitty carbs and poor food choices. I am going to post my diet plan a little later today.

Question about upcoming meets.
I’ve been feeling like shit and have lost strength, but still want to compete. Do you think it would be a waste to compete in a meet knowing you won’t do well, or is it still gonna be worth it? I want to go watch even if I don’t lift.
2 upcoming meets in PA April 7 and May 11. Bench and deadlift only.
My best lifts were 170 and 375, but recently bench has been a struggle even warming up and 350-355 have been kind of hitchy.
Personally, I am of the school of thought of:
Fuck it. Just go do the meet. Hopefully my schedule calms down a little soon and I can plan on doing a warm-up meet a few weeks before nationals. Just go and hit 90% of your lifts just for the meet experience. I would honest to God do a meet every weekend if I could afford it.
Alright sounds good. Good way to get rid of the jitters for the next meet. Thanks!

Shut it down. Been under a lot of stress lately but got a very time consuming work related task done so now I will have some extra breathing room… actually like 20 more hours a week of breathing room. My schedule since sunday has been - 8am to 8pm, 8am to 9pm, 8am to 10pm, and it is now wendesday morning, where I had to be at work at 6am. Like I said, I got some stuff done and shouldn’t be as pressed for time.
Weight update: was 277 on friday morning, am already 272.
Thursday-3/28/13- S=10, M/P=Meh…, ME Sqwatzzzzzz
Couch Stretch with traction… sucked.
Ext. Rot Stretch

RH- up to 450x10 with the short strap
RDLs-405x10 with opposite DL grip
S.E. Sit-Ups-bwx20, +50lbs x3x10
Stretched
Got Grastoned for 30mins
Walked on a treadmill for 30mins @10% at 2.8mph
Could have gotten one or two more with 600 and could have done at least 50 more pounds for a single. Form kinda went to shit and I only wanted to do one heavier single anyway.

that sounds terrible. why would you ever give up such an awesome meal? please don’t cut back to 229. I remember a certain someone claiming multiple times to hit 300lbs and I have yet to see it. At this point, Moser might still be winning the bet lol

Oh Christ, I’m never doing that again. I don’t have a lot to lose. The only way I can go to worlds is as a 120kg(264lbs). I can probably get down to that in about a day.
Being that skinny was nuts. I had veins protruding from my abs. I took my shirt off to weigh in at the night of the living dead and Alex Campbell (the meet director) said “Dude, what the fuck happened to you? Were you sick or something.” I tried to answer, but all that came out was a cloud of smoke and dust. Heather was standing outside with a gallon jug of Gatorade mixed with pedialite and water. I drank the whole thing in the 100 yard walk back to the car. That was sheer fucking misery. Somehow, I still pulled 760 at 229 though!
Hey I saw your article on Lift. It was really good.
You’re going to worlds on the US team, right? How does that work? My question being, do team totals count, is there a point system or something? My curiosity always outweighs my risk of sounding stupid.

There are individual awards (for first second and third place) and that individual standing is assigned a point value for the team score. So, say I get first. That equates to something like 3 points for the USA team for my weight class. Something like that. haha.
