Questions that I don’t think I understand: (x) why and (y) how re you deadlifting 600+ when you need back surgery? The why is easier to explain insofar as you’re obviously very dedicated and want to maintain your strength, but I guess I have a hard time with the how when I consider how hard it is for me to deadlift when I’m injured in any way, much less if it’s something with my lower back.
Well, it might be because I don’t need back surgery. I really am getting some tumors removed. I won’t be able to lift heavy for a few weeks.

I have been having an issue with my QL’s being extremely tight. It sucks and it hurts when I train. The how I keep goin is pretty easy: I really don’t fucking care how I feel. This issue in my back has started spilling over into everyday life stuff. There is no reason why rolling over in bed at night should hurt. So, it is time to get it fixed.

I am kinda at a standstill right now because I need to get that surgery done and I don’t want to start physical therapy just to have to immediately take a break from it for 2+ weeks because I am recovering. Hence, cancelling my trip to the Arnold this year (which is killing me inside). So, I will start PT in march sometime, get better, train for (hopefully) raw nationals this summer, and go wreck shit like I never have before.

My back has been a mild issue for years. It will be scary once I get it under control.
just so we’re clear…you’re getting back surgery?

hahahahahaha

sucks about tumors, I guess arnold was wrong. keep the pain pills for later and use makers 46 as the only pain med you use
Hahaha. It’s only Maker’s 46 when they are out fo regulat Maker’s.
Check out the Maker’s white. They started bottling their moonshine before it is aged. I’ve had the OG stuff in Kentucky so nothing really compares but it is some tasty white lightning.

Friday-2/15/13- Speedy Sqwatz

Did some $hit.

Kneeling Jumps- BWx10, straight bar- 45x3, 65x3, 85x3, 115x3, 135x1, 155x1, 185x1<~~~ tied all time straight bar PR.

SSB Squares- 345x6x2<~~~ back felt f*ckng awful.

Stretched. Am elbow deep in bourbon.

Had a very long week. Have had some serious reflection on my life and the choices I’ve been making as well. I got accepted to a PhD program for physical therapy… too which I almost immediately said fuck this too. I think I could easily make it through the program and I do enjoy money, but I have been working in a PT clinic for almost a year now and I don’t fit in. Mentally and socially. Showing up to the same place and dealing with the same issues everyday will make me eat a bullet eventually. So, I started taking an EMS course, have recently started my ride alongs, and fucking love it. I might see this all the way to paramedic. Anyway, I’ve done 10 hours of ride alongs, worked 40 hours, and then did God only knows how many personal training hours (picked up 6 new clients this week). So, I’m a fucking zombie.

Where did you get your American flag pants?

How many fluid ounces? Will my acai-berry flavor enhancement packet change the outcome?

What happens if I put creatine in the water?

So, you’re saying you need something that isn’t monotonous and routine?

Regardless, congratulations on being accepted to a PhD program.

Cannot wait for your surgery deal to heal up! Your log is like King Kong vs Godzilla. Everything you do is titanic. It’s unreal.

People like you are the reason I started lifting 6 years ago, and still lift today.

No real point. Just want you to come back. Hope you get to feeling better.

Don’t you need to get your DPT before getting into a PhD PT program?

come back and post bitchchacha

I shouldn’t have given him the tabata deadlift idea. He probably tried it.

Thanks, it’s been a lot shittier than I thought it would be.

No. Especially not if it is a dual program. Or whatever the hell that is called.
Spock81 wrote:

There is nothing to post. I have been wallowing in mcdonalds mcdouble wrappers and my own self loathing for the last couple days. The cheese and burger grease make me look like I just lost a KY jelly wrestling match. Hahahahahaha. I can’t believe some of the shit that just comes out when I don’t even think about it.

I want to start a new blog that is just a stream of writing. Not even anything lifting related. I have so many racing/fleeting throughts throughout the day, I can barely rememebr most of them. This is probably the sign of some deep seeded, serious mental health disorder but at least it keeps me laughing at myslef… or whoever is inside of me saying these things.

It will take a whole lot more than that to kill me. Trust me, I’ve tried.
