Hedlesky's How to Get Fat and Strong

this log is of biblical proportions. Good fucking shit.

I was a fan of this log before it was ‘cool’ to be a fan of this log, just sayin’.

Okay deadlifting, I guess…

Dude, update your blog.

It is selfish to be awesome and not share some knowledge.

Thanks man. My best ever with this set-up is just over 900. I’ve gotten 935 but that was in a rack I don’t normally tain with and the bands were set to like 8 feet or something ridiculous.

Having good training numbers is cool and all. I just want to smash shit up in my next meet.

Thanks man. I will either be dead by the time Nationals comes around or I will win the whole thing. One or the other.

Thanks! I hope to one day impress you with my deadlifting. This has become my soul purpose for training it at all.

Workin on it. I should have a real .com started up soon. I need to get it up and running. I miss writing stuff.

Friday-6-1-12- DE Upper

Shouldery stuff

Bench-+140lbs of chain- 215x10x3

2 Board-+140- 225lbs on the bar… sometimes, I get really really good ideas. This was not one of them:

225+140 in chain x 19
Took off 40lbs x 6
Took off 60lbs x 10
Stripped it down to just 225- x10

This sucked… but not as bad as this did:

Bent over Row- 315x20

2x Mini Band rev. flies kind of- 4x20

Stretched. Comtemplating laying on a lax ball for the rest of the weekend.

I am working on it. It’s all well and good to do cool shit in training but I just hope I can get it all together by the time Nationals rolls around. I have been under a ton of stress lately for a number of reasons and have kinda ‘lost a step’ with my energy levels. I still have a couple hard training sessions left so I will be doing all I can to get my shit together.

Thanks man.

True it is all about performance on the plat form not the trianing leading up to the meet. But still great numbers. Just keep killing the best you can, you seem like you are pretty able to power through a lot of shit.

You’d make a great Green Lantern … for srs

Storm, you have a kindle right? I was thinking about getting one. Are you using it for leisure reading? I can’t seem to find many strength specific books that are available for it such as supertraining, special strength training, etc. That would be my reason for getting it…am i missing something?

I have a kindle too - there are converters online with which you can convert any pdf-s you have to hte kindle format and upload them to your device. I have some verkhoshansky ebooks and ebooks from elite on my kindle right now. Then again, I mainly bought it for leisurely reading, but my point is if you can find something in a pdf you can also upload it to your Kindle

I use it mainly for non-training books. You can get most of dan johns and pavels stuff on it though. I prett much own all of the training books I would ever want to read. haha. Huge selection of business books though.

I have had mine since december and have seriously read about 20 books on it. I love that thing.

My life is in shambles right now… at least I am still findin time to train:

Saturday-6-2-12-

Benched 100lbs 100 times
Upper Body only 500m row in 1:30

Sunday- DE Lower-6-4-12-

Squats- 425+175 in bands
2x2 very low box
2x2 up an inch
2x2 no box

Pulls- 405+250 in bands- All sets double overhand, no chalk- 10x1

SLDLs (Epic Failure DLs)
405x6
495x3
585x3
640… wouldn’t move off the floor. After I told the bar to go fuck itself for 20 minutes:
315x25

Left quickly.

Monday-AM-6-4-12

Prowler- 90 foot trips added a plate on each side every 2 trips.
8 trips in 10 minutes. The ending weight was 360lbs.

More in a little while… assuming I don’t just give in to every mental and physical urge to just kill myself.

AWWWWWW what’s da matter STB? Keep your chin up, slugger.

In hard times I try to remember this little quote I made up one day (yesterday) while walking to the gym…

“There is very little that can’t be solved with masturbation”

You’re welcome.

I am going to figure out how to say that in Latin, put it on a plaque, and hang it over the door at my gym. I’ll tell people it means something like “Pride. Ethic. Courage.” Or some other stupid bullshit like that.

Thanks for the chuckle. I almost really lol(ed)
