This looks like the perfect spot for me to jump in. Aren’t you so excited about the movie coming out in March?!

I’ve been following along for a bit now and have been trying to soak in some knowledge. Very impressive training.

I hope you get some sleep and can start feeling your normal self again.
Thanks, buddy.

And yes. I am excited for the movie. I am pretty sure this is what all of those screaming Twilight fans felt like when all that shit came out.
Sadly, I am afraid the movie will be super teeny and suck (like the twilight movies). No way will they let it be as violent as the books. Gotta make the dollar. Cripes, they already have a taylor swift song for it already.
There is so much awesome shit in the three books. If they pussify everything to appeal to a younger audience and turn it into a ‘coming of age’ or ‘star crossed lover’ bullshit and not into ‘toppling a centralized communist government,’ then I will blow my brains out. Woody Harleson is playing Haymitch. Thats fucking awesome.
Im pretty sure they are because my little sister(10th grade) is excited for the movie. Shes been reading the books, maybe ill snag em off her lol

If the movie isn’t rated XXX due to ‘graphic mind bending/life altering/serial murder inducing scenes of violence’ then I probably won’t even bother seeing it.

When you say 2 board manpon, do you mean 2 boards then a manpon on top??? Also, when you say manpon, is it a full foam roller, or cut in half?

PS: Just because I am anal… 135x4x10 means 135, 4 times, repeated 10 times… so 10 sets of 4… I am guessind you did 4 sets of 10 so 135x10x4 or 135 4x10… Not trying to be an ass but I just like conventions.

This is just ridiculous

lol… I was just making a suggestion. It’s just common conventions… Not trying to be an ass, but it just makes logical sense. that 135x4x10 is 135x4 then x10 sooo… 10 sets of 4…

No, I did 'one 35’lb plate, ‘for’, 10 total reps. Duh. The ‘x’ is measuring distance.

Wednesday- Stuff-1-18-12-

Stretched a ton today

100 pull aparts
Benched 50lb dbs for 5 minutes straight
100 pull aparts
50 straight leg sit ups with a 30lb db

Will roll and stretch some more later.

I got a huge kick outta this. When you do shit like “bench the 50’s for 5 minutes straight” do you even count reps or do you have a timer set and go off? I’d imagine the reps gotta be over 200.

I don’t count. If you still have the the ability to count 2 minutes into it, then you are doing it wrong. Priority slowly shifts from using good technique to not passing out and falling off the bench. The reps don’t matter anyway. The whole point is to not put the weights down for as long as you can.

Do you reset at all, or just hold at lockout for a bit to catch your breath once the lactic acid becomes unbearable? 5 straight minutes of anything sounds awful.

Anytime I rest, I rest with the weight locked out… which isn’t really rest at all. Once you HAVE to put the weight down, the exercise is over. I might try to 30lb DBs for 10 minutes next time.

Thursday-1-19-12- ME Lower… actually slept last night! Its cold as shit today.

Hip Ext. Rot stretch<~~~ about 5 mins each leg
Hips Floss w/strong band
Leg circles/swings
Kneeling Jumpsx12 total<~~~ did some with a pause at the landing the exploding my hips through as fast as I could without jumping… this is a lot harder than it sounds

SSB to Parallel Box- 75lbsx3x10
Reverse Lights-
255x2x5
345x5
435x3
Added loose single ply Hard Core, straps down
525x1
Belt
615x1
705x1
765x1<~~~~ Ran into an interesting problem… I ran out of room on my knock off SSB. On the way up, the spring collar shot off the right side and the 25lb plate on the end was about a millimeter from falling off the bar. Huge PR… this is actually my PR with the same set-up with a straight bar. Can’t wait to retest that one.

RDL’s- 135x10, 225x6, 315x6, 405x6… hands are trashed from tabata deadlifts earlier this week and the DB bench last night. Used straps from here on…
495x3
600x1<~~~ didn’t feel great but I didn’t care
Belt-
675x6<~~~ 20lb all time PR. This is huge. I use RDL’s as an indicator of where my suited pull is at. When I got 655 with a belt and straps, it was a hitch-ocalypse and I was half dead when the set was over. 675 was much smoother and much stronger.

Shrugs/Bent V-Grip Lat Pulls/Back Ext.
225x4x25/Lightx4x25/30lbsx2x25

Will stretch and work in some ab stuff and grip work later on.

Outfriggin’standing! Two PR’s in one session. Great job man.

I tried it with 30lb dbs and managed 50 reps and 60secs then I realised I wasnt going to get anywhere near the 5 minute mark so I stopped - it was horrible and humbling. (It was at the end of a session and I am a weakling but still …)

I can’t conceive of doing it for 5 or 10 minutes - maybe I should try with 10lb dbs when Im fresh!

Gotta start somewhere! I think I did something liek the 20’s for 1min 30 the first time I tried this… I thought I was going to die by the end.

Maybe that’s why there are so many strong people from Iceland.

Thursday-1-20-12- PM Training

500m row in 1:28. The gym record is 1:26. I had to stop rowing for 10 seconds because a dry erase board fell on my head. I think I was sabatoged.

Various Standing Ab work with a Green Band- 200 total reps.

More Soon.
