Hey STB could you tell me a little bit about your degree/job? I’m looking into colleges soon and I thought I read you have a degree in exercise science which I’m interested in. Whats the field like? Lots of jobs? Decent enough pay? What do you actually do for work?

Glad you will be posting more vids. Never thought about doing sumo RDLs. Why is that?
I believe my coach is reffing the Arnolds. [/quote]
I would compare sumo RDLs with a Honey Badger chewing on the origins of my hamstrings while someone was trying to light it on fire. But, they kept missing the Honey Badger and kept igniting my lower back and then eventually tried to put the fire out with a sledgehammer.

I have a masters in applied health physiology with a concentration in strength and conditioning. My undergrad is in exercise science and I have about a million certifications and letters behind my name.
That being said, the job market is tough. There are only a few jobs with a lot of people trying to get them. I graduated in May, applied to about 70 places all over the country, heard nothing back, started my own training thing up in my area that has done pretty well so far but still don’t make shit for how much I work. I have just recently started hearing back on positions from a couple of D-1 schools that are clearing house because of bad seasons this past year and 2 of those look like they will work out but we will see. Anyway, the hours suck, the pay isnt great, and jobs are hard to get. Personally, I really enjoy it so I don’t care. When something does come through, I’ll have enough to support all the things/people I care about.

Where’d you go to school?
If I wanted to start my own training place would it be a smart idea to get a degree in buisness you think?

It wasn’t required but I sure as shit should have. I did and undergrad internship at the school I went too and got a lot of good experience with that. That definitely helped me get a grad assistant position when I applied for it.

Agreed. Stick with them though, they are one of the best core exercises you could ever do for squatting and pulling… even though they are probably taking years off yout life and will never allow you to shit comfortabley ever again.
