ya, cav, been getting more compliments on my “physique” now more than ever. especially from lay people/patients I treat at work, asking me if I am a bodybuilder, commenting on my arms, ect.
when i was much bigger, much stronger, and much MUCH more athletic, I never got these kinds of compliments. lol
some training updates…
recent hamstring tear is 3 weeks old today. here is a pic one week post injury:

last week the bruising went all the way into my calf. getting better now though.
yesterday I trained legs for the first time with any real weights since the injury, did 200kgx 3 in thje back squat with belt and knee sleeves, 7 plates each side on DEEP leg presses for 15 reps, and stiff leg deads with 80lb dumbbells.
instead of preexausting my triceps with a ton of push-downs before using a heavy compound movement, i started my arm training today with close grip bench, got 100kg x 6, and 140kg x 2. not bad for a person who pretty much only has one head of his left triceps attached to the elbow.
also, in the incline db bench, i hit 100lbers for 4 reps. not much, but with my issues, it was cathartic for me to finally feel the 100’s in my hands for some type of pressing movement.
most of my work is still machines and light dumbbells, full rom and high reps lots of volume and not much loading.
5’6" and 222lbs today, right arm 18.5" cold and flexed, left 18" waist 34" vascular in my forearms, biceps, delts, quads and calves. somehow i STILL got measured a 36% bodyfat on an electrical impedance test. does not compute…
