I like dragon’s list along with:
Pastor Troy
Lil Scrappy
Young Buck
I must be from the south.
It’s all about Public Enemy, with or without Anthrax, doing ‘Bring Da Noise’.
Either that or any NWA.
Wu–tang Wu–tang Wu-tang
Their good cds are:
-enter the Wu
-killa bees/the swarm
Or,Busta Rhymes or somebody else with fast lyrics. (Twista)
I’m not big on rap. What I like however is
Lil Jon - Stop fucking with me
Any Scarface
Gangstarr
Nas Illmatic album
DMX
Method Man
Lloyd Banks is awesome to work out to.
For the record, I think Get By is an awesome song to work out to.
Oh yeah, Mobb Deep too.
I’m with you on “Get By”!
(Also “Put it in the air”)
There’s plenty of good listening, but my absolute favourite hip hop album for lifting is Vaudeville Villain (Viktor Vaughn).
Also - Gangstarr, Sage Francis, Blackalicious (The Craft), and the Black Album on some occasions.
DMX- I only have Grand Champ and some other tracks. On Grand Champ, the first 4 track and then some other songs kick ass.
Public Enemy- they are classic but not that hard. I’d lift to Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos (angry) and Hazy Shade of Criminal. The beat on the song just keeps rolling on. PE is great, just not my lifting style.
Scarface, Geto Boys kick ass but I couldn’t lift to them. DMX makes you mad, like a pitbull, and he’s got some hard beats.

I have a cd by Aphrodite called Urban Jungle, it’s rap remixes to drum n’ bass, it’s fast and kicks ass. Here’s a link check it out.
ok I just breezed through all the current responses on this particular topic and I cant believe I didn’t c any Jay-Z. If u want some deep, hard core rap with a lil meaning try Reasonable Doubt or the Black Album. Both are very motivational and should get u emotionally involved(if u listen to the words and not just the beat) to kill some heavy weights, get ur purpetual pump on, and strut on out the gym like the t-man u r while simultaneously and very confidently not forgetting to wink at the front desk girls who cant stop checkin u out cause ur such an intense mutherf@#^%$ who dominates and commands attention when u r in there throwin the BIG weights around makin all the “average” folk feel lil and all the thanks goes to that lil ol’ Jay-Z cd that motivated u to kick ass.

You mean MF Doom?
There’ve been a lot of good recommendations. Dead Prez - Hip Hop is one of my favorite tracks to get pumped to.
