I’ve been lifting for a few years now and enjoy it very much, and continue to try to find ways to make new gains as we all do here. I recently bought a heavy
bag and hung it in our shed in the backyard. it got to about -22 here today, but i couldn’t stop myself from going out and putting an hour in on the bag. it was so cold, the whole shed was foggy from the hard work, and there was a layer of frost/ice forming on the bag. I think i’ve found a pretty good new training technique, and hopefully it will add to my effort with the iron. anyone else use heavy bag?
Yeah man, of course it’s excellent to have that. i would recommend though that you shadowbox a lot more than you work on the bag, to stay looser. Or at least that has been my experience.

I disagree with this. I feel there is no point in training a fighting art of any type without contact. Contact is the main point of any fighting art. I understand this is for fitness and intensity, but even so, contact is a requirement.
I work on a heavy bag at least 2-3x a week for about half and hour. Love it.
