I’ve heard time and time again that it’s important to take in some type of carbohydrate (sugar?) directly after the workout. My protein powder is sweetened with Stevia and is generally free of carbs (only 4gs). Can someone here give me some suggestion as to what I might add to my powder to provide the glycogen boost I need?
I generally steer clear from things like white sugar and I eat an almost entirely “organic” diet. So I’m probably not going to add a packet of “cool-aid” to my mix, as I’ve heard someone suggest in the past. Any healthy ways to add the carbs I need?
