16oz whole milk (500mls)
protein/carb powder
banana
does anyone know any other easy to digest carb sources for PWO? should i add oats? or just bump up my carb source in my meal after this?

Depends on how much “carb powder” you’re having I guess. It all comes down to your macro goals.

Sweet tarts are good. grape juice will do the trick, too.
I’ve suggested before if you’re looking for easy to digest carbs that will give a large insulin spike quickly you can always just add some glucose…
Glucose, as in what sugar and/or honey? Interesting.

My fat intake is coming mainly from eggs, meat and the majority from whole milk. Is that a bad thing? Or should i drop it to skim milk and add nuts, oil etc. The reason for whole milk was its cheap but i guess any fats are cheap.
Your fat selection is fine (bulking, right?). I would maybe go with leaner cuts of meat like top round, eye of round and flank for beef. This will reduce your fat, so you can add some almonds, walnuts and/or olive oil. Just for the sake of having more mufa’s and pufa’s in your diet. Also, supplement with fish oil if your not already.
You can buy glucose in bulk at a health food store or online if you search it. Its often sold as dextrose. Table sugar is half glucose, half fructose and honey isn’t entirely glucose either (not that its a bad thing).
Honey and grape, orange, cranberry, apple, or pineapple juice work fine too. Any mushy fruit will do also, like bananas and berries.
Someone correct me if i’m wrong, but wouldnt whole milk slow down the absorption of the protein?
Justin Harris recommends a waxy maize starch as PWO carbs over dextrose, likens it to giving the protein a bowling ball type effect to the muscles. Theres a clip about PWO shakes on Troponin Nutritions website.

PWO carbs are overrated, my post workout carbs is a banana and a full meal when I get home.
