A couple of weeks ago, I was going through my leg w/out. I work with high intensity, and while doing my leg press I felt a discomfort in the back of my head. After finishing my set I began to get a really bad headache, bad enough that I had to quit. Since then, I tried to work out and I got horrible headaches in the back-left side of my head whenever I really exert myself. I haven’t worked out for over a week now. I’ll try again in a couple of days, as I really miss it. Also, the only new supplement I used before that incident was Paradeca by VPX. Could that have contributed to the headaches? Please, please, if anyone has any input on this, or what I could do to get better, it would be appreciated. Keep up the good work.
Ah, the old exploding melon injury. It’s happened to my on a couple occassions over the years as well as a few of my friends. Both times it happened to me was on leg press as well. I wasn’t breathing properly and there was so much goddamned blood in my head something had to give. I believe it’s a broken blood vessel of some sort. You might get an extreme pulsating felling in the back of your head as well. My buddy actually went to his doctor he was scared shitless and his doctor gave him the typical don’t work out diagnosis. I worked through it, but was very VERY careful to make sure I breathed properly on every rep. I didn’t do any exercises that caused a lot of blood flow to my head. Another friend of mine thought he was having an aneurism when it happened to him.
i had the same problem. i went and saw a neurologist to correct the problem. He told me it would go away on it’s own and if it didn’t he would put me on a medication. There isn’t anything really wrong with you so don’t be alarmed.
