I’ve missed you dawg! Where have you been?

What’s your bodyweight around these days?
Busy stuffing my face. I’m a very, very sexy 250lbs currently. I’m still waiting for those magical fat-man strength gains, though.

ps: You really should try to gain some size on your legs - your quads and ass look pitiful.
Well I don’t care about my quads, but I would love some booty. That’s most of the reason I have such a hard time keeping it on the bench; there’s just nothing there lol. My body seems to like concentrating its mass in the torso.

If you’re 250 you better fucking tell me you at least pulled 600lbs finally. Also if you’re 70lbs heavier than me you better have bigger arms now too lol.
I have pulled 6 some time ago, but I’m not paying much attention to puling in my training lately - no good reason for that really. Should be good for mid 6 to 7 if I focus on it. However, I have benched 360 with feet up and with a “true” cg. Should be good for 400 with “comp tech” but who knows…

Who the fuck cares about arm size?

Well there ya go dude! At long last. Sounds like you found fat man strength after all hahaha! Is that about 1 pound on your deadlift and bench for each pound you went up in bodyweight?

Na not even gonna look for a few months lol.

The weight is all really light, but I add as many variables to the reps as I can so that they are as difficult as possible (slow eccentric, pauses at both ends, extended ROM, etc.). Hopefully that style will pay off.Â

Big fan of doing this as well…
It’s a lot less mentally taxing than trying to hit something heavy that’s for sure.

I didn’t feel like I’d hit my chest good enough. After that shoulder workout I felt like I hadn’t trained anything else that day hard enough. It was very frustrating. I need to maintain my focus. I’m going to buy a watch to strictly monitor my rest times.

I hadn’t checked out your log in a couple weeks. Nice numbers at your meet. I also didn’t realize you cut so much weight, great job on that. Our bodyweights/ PL numbers are pretty close. I think you’ve got about 10 lbs on me in each lift. BUT NOT FOR LONG!!!

How do you feel about sumo?

BIZZUMP.

Also, I realized I secretly care very much about arm size. I was going through a drawer of mine and found an old measuring tape. Slightly over 17.5 cold.

Maybe I should make a thread about this guys, asking if this is good for natty 20 year old???//////

I like it better actually. My form is actually much better sumo. I can pull pretty much the exact same weight with either style though. The only reason I usually do conventional is I just think it’s more badass lol.

I think I’ll devote a little more time to sumo though. It feels better in that I can get a decent setup and get tight as opposed to my round back conventional style.

Yeah your progress is going much better than mine lol. I gotta break outta this deadlift plateau.

Just do it everyday

How do you train your arms bro? Do you do “direct” arm work?

The last meet I was at, one guy lifted more than everyone else, but he lost because he only had 17.5 inch arms. Everyone else’s arms were 17.51354862415 or larger.

On a serious note, 17.5 inch arms are a great size if you are never going to step on a BB stage. I have found that women understand arm size just about as much as they understand powerlifting totals.

I have 17 inch arms. I have been told by at least two girls that Brad Pitt’s arms, when he was in Fight Club, were bigger than mine. There is no way in hell that he was sportin a 17+ inch arm on a 145 lb frame.

Over at eliteFTS there is an article you may find interesting.

Possible style shift for the sake of total?
