HCG Question

I am taking 100mg test cyp/wk (2 injections) and now my doctor has added HCG and Arimidex.

He sold it to me in a kit for $240.00. I asked him about a prescription so I could use my insurance and he said insurance would not cover it.

Here is some info on the kit:
-The kit comes with a 10ml vial of lypophilized powdered HCG (C-HCG) (10,000 units).
-30ml vial of Bacteriostatic water (only 10ml is used with the powder).
-lots of 30g 5/16" syringes
-alcohol swabs

It says on the bottle of HCG powder, that it expires 30 days after reconstitution!!! OUCH!
The doctor said he wasn’t sure but thought it could go several months or more but to call the pharmacy that was on the box top. I called and the pharmacist said there was no real known expiration for HCG but law tells them they have to put 30 days on any item that doesn’t contain a preservative. He said he knew people using it at least 2-3 months.

Either way that’s majorly EXPENSIVE!! My doc said it was an excellent price???

I did some searching on tnation forums and seen where people use the HCG in the Bacteriostatic water for approx 80 days. Sooo, 80 days (approx 3 months) is the max?? Any opinions?

Was that (really) a good deal to pay $240.00. If not where would I get it cheaper? I’m positive my doc would write me a prescription. He just said that pharmacy was the only one in our area he knew that carried it.

He left it up to me to take it how I wanted. It is recommended on here to take 250iu EOD right? Any particular way? For instance, I take test shots on Sunday and Thursday mornings. Should I take HCG on those days at the same time or take it on different days than test shots?

Three days a week would be like Sun, Tues, Thur, Sat, Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun… on a rotating basis right? Or should I stick with the same days every week which seem easier to keep up with?

I get 10,000iu of hCG [withg with 30ml BA water] from Sam’s Club [Business Membership] for $40-$50. Housebrand #29 0.5ml[50iu] 0.5" insulin needles at Sam’s and Walmart are ~$12.60 per 100. Swabs are dirt cheap. Your doc is ripping you off. Ask your insurance company. State that it is for hypogonadism. Do not let them look at this from a fertility treatment point of view.

What hCG dose?

Refrigerate and do not sweat the expiry.

The dose? I showed my doc a print out of your protocol. He said the 250iu EOD sounded fine with him.

I called the Sam’s club down the street from my doctors and asked about HCG pricing.

The pharmacist said they didn’t stock it but could get it within 24 hours of a script.

The Brand is Novarel and it’s 10,000iu and includes the BA water.

The price is 117.62 with no membership and 102.93 with a business or plus membership.

I mentioned the pricing of 40-50 and asked if it was cheaper in other states. He said it was a national price and shouldn’t be different??

I guess 117 is still a LOT cheaper then 240!!!

I was looking at the alldaychemist website and they have several choices for HCG Ampoules. I’m not familiar with Ampoules. What do you think of there products? What HCG would you recommend if I could get my Dr. to Rx to that site? Or should I stick with Sam’s Club?

hCG prices are all over the place because of shortages. I used to get it for $23.

Alldaychemist is an off-shore shipment - not cool. You need multidose vials, not amps.

I stopped by the pharmacy (Walmart) to see what the Arimidex would cost with my insurance. 400.00+ before and 86.00 after! OUCH! That’s 30 pills (30 weeks) but they wouldn’t be scored to divide up the doses easily.

While I was there I asked about the HCG. I assumed it was the same as Sam’s, but they couldn’t get it at all. The pharmacist gave me a number to another pharmacy that specialized in growth hormone (thinking they might carry it). They didn’t but they gave me yet ANOTHER number to ANOTHER pharmacy and WALA!!

The last one has it for I think 56.00!! Sweet!!! Persistence paid off. I wouldn’t have kept calling if you wouldn’t have said you found it cheaper. My Dr said he would take the other kit back and I save almost $200.00. That’s a pretty good deal!

Now just to order some Liquidex!
