Haye Vs Klitschko

Its impossible to have a discussion with you because all you offer is opinions as facts. I prove you wrong on something (Kahn taking a several huge hits and having an unquestionable jaw) and you jump straight on to your next point, refusing to admit that either Khan or Haye has any talent.

Quote: blah english media blah cruiserweights suck blah khan and haye fight nobodies blah blah

Q: “Who the fuck is Mormeck” A: the former Number 1 boxer in the world.

You obviously didn’t watch it numerous times, or at all…?

I didn’t say they don’t have talent. I said they’re not as good as the English public thinks they are.

As for unquestionable chin… I let this do the talking. You cannot improve your chin. You can protect it, move it more, but you can’t fix it. And that will be his downfall.

Because they don’t. Just like Calslappy who I bet you love too, but fought just two real fighters his whole career.

Wow bro, really? Mormeck was the former #1 boxer? No, he was #1 in his weight class, which nobody fights in.

He has never been amongst the top fighters in the world- the time period he fought in during his prime was loaded with legends, all of whom were much further up the pound for pound rankings.

And even then, he was old by the time he fought Haye.

Get over it buddy. Haye is a talented fighter but he’s too small for the HW division and he will get knocked out, because in all reality, he’s NEVER had competition like the Klitschos.

No one dislikes the English media more than me (without going off topic they do it with all popular English sports), I’ve said before that there part-time enthusiasts who love a winner and turn on their own. Perfect example Ricky Hatton, a good fighter who the general public loved, loses to two exceptional fighter, and suddenly its “who the f**k is Ricky Hatton”. Hell our own Newspapers set him up and said Hey look at this washed up drug addict. So I get you feelings about the english public/typical sky viewer. And don’t worry, if Haye is to lose (which I can’t see) you’ll see how they cast him aside.

Now that’s my rant agreeing with you in general, I know that Haye and Khan are the real deal. I agree he’s never had competition like Klitschko, size ability, tatics, etc. But I don’t agree he’s too small. His reach is 2cm smaller despite giving awayd 4 inches in height. Height and weight are well on Klitschkos side. But strength and speed are on Hayes.

The media in every country sucks the balls off of any fighter in their locality - capitalism rules KO.

The British media are as guilty of this as the American media and any other capitalist country. I remember all of the BS hyperbole spouted about Jeff Lacy as an example… Perhaps the Cuban media keep it real

As for Haye (I still can’t forgive him for giving Audley Harrison, the worst joke in the heavyweight division, a shot), he has a lot of hype around him, mostly his own, but he’s won titles abroad and he deserves a lot of respect for those fights - Jean Pascal particularly.

Don’t be fooled though, it wasn’t all that long ago that a journeyman Italian fighter, Giacobbe Fragomeni, came close to beating Haye in York Hall. I was there. To be fair, Haye gutted it out despite a really bad cut over his eye though.

Do I share the original poster’s confidence…not so much. I think it’s too tight to call.

PS. I hope you’re all tuning into the World Series of Boxing - if not, check it out…

I don’t think we should start pretending that support for the home team is a “capitalist” phenomenon…

Home team support is a different point and I agree btw.

My point, which was a fairly facetious one at best, was that publicists, promoters and the media are in the sales business. Even the good old BBC, a supposed bastion of independent reporting (hint of cynicism here), needs to justify their licence fees and provide value for money. I’m just saying that hyperbole sells newspapers, tickets, whatever. Hence the (tongue in cheek) possibility of the Cubans not giving a fuck…

Anyway, this is rambling off topic.

Yeah, there’s no point starting an argument over nothing. I do dislike the British press though. Maybe you’re right and it’s my proximity that’s the problem. Maybe the Americans are just as bad but a long way away. Either way, the press over there have made my skin creep too many times for me to just forget it.

Back to boxing.

Does anyone think that Ivan Calderon will be able to keep a relentless Segura off his ass for a whole 12 rounds?

…Obviously my words on Klitchko were harsh, or just maybe down right inaccurate…I don’t want to come across as a hypocrite I was geared up at the time, really excited and still am. I’m a big Haye fan and thus perhaps slightly biased

BUT…dare I say…I’m nervous!

Why I hear you cry? You were so certain Haye would win!..

Haye himself has provoked these doubts. Anyone who’s followed him will know of his arrogance both pre and post match…but his latest antics…there…ridiculous!

Putting the stupid T-shirt aside, Haye is developing the traits of a very nervous man. Obviously its his biggest fight of his career but even I can’t defend Haye and state that his antics are merely to freak his opponent out.

I mean criticising Klitchkos english? Its not like Haye speaks fluent Ukrainian.

But the thing I don’t get is not shaking Klitchkos hand. Perhaps even Hayes biggest critics wouldn’t predict he would be so juvenile and disrespectful?!

Still can not wait for the fight…! But maybe I regret putting my house on it…

Klitscho’s gonna win.

Save yourself the money.

Don’t bet your house.

Klitchko should smash Haye. Jab his into submission until decapitating him with a left hook.

Despite the crap condition of the HW division, Wlad has fought and beat what they put in front of him.

Haye has beat up on HWs who are way past it. He was decent at CW but still got rocked several times there as well.

I think Haye will be super cautious and get picked apart. Fighting against Wlad like he did against Valuev will just not work.

Fantastic article in this month’s Fighting Fit about this fight, interviewing the fighters and their coaches and comparing their fight camps. Klitschko’s love of dancing cracks me up. I’m really not sure how to call it. Obviously Klitschko is the bookies’ favourite, he has the size and strength, but damn Haye is fast with a beast of a right hand. Klitschko has admitted he’s nervous ( Wladimir Klitschko: I dislike David Haye the man but as a boxer he makes me nervous | Daily Mail Online ), but then again his sparring partner is singing a different tune ( Boxing: 'After Klitschko hit me I had a headache for days' | The Independent | The Independent ).

I also can’t decide who to support. Haye is a Brit, but he’s approached this fight like a complete tosser. Sir Henry Cooper, who Haye has dedicated the fight to, would not be impressed. I’ve always like Klitschko as a sportsman if not as a boxer, he’s a class act.

I’d have to agree with you on this.

I despise Haye. His lack of sportsmanship toward Klitschko at the press conferences made me shake my head.

Can’t wait for July 2. I’ll be toasting champagne when he gets knocked out.

Haye’s a loud mouth jerkoff who talks tough when the cameras are rolling, but there’s a reason this fight has taken so long to get going. Klitschko is going to win this handily [if slightly boringly] like he always does.

wait…a woman looking like that that likes boxing?

I may have to reassess my initial thoughts about you.

Boxing AND MMA. Dayumn.

Every time Haye opens his mouth to do his little “greatest in the world” shtick I am reminded of how ridiculously charismatic Ali was…

They just don’t make 'em like that anymore.

Haye runs his mouth way too much.Every time he is in an interview he feels the need to say ‘bum’ atleast 30 times.I hope the big russian jabs the fuck out of him then KO’s him.

I will repeat, this fight is ALL HYPE.

It will not be competitive at all.

i would not be surprised if WK knocks haye out in the middle to late rounds with a LEFT jab or hook off the left jab.

STFU dude you’re ruining my odds!
