Have You Ever Beta Orbited a Girl

You first ass clown.

Don’t like when unintended consequences of your dumb ideas are pointed out? Quit belaboring dumb ideas.

Dude, this is a perfectly reasonable post considering the situations you wrote about are becoming increasingly more common, but you reacted way too harshly to @SkyzykS post considering he was writing from a place of sensitivity and care. I think he responded to me appropriately considering the social pressures, or perhaps even institutionalized pressures I’d like to see come about—but won’t in the near future!—would Alter the trajectory of the average woman. Or perhaps they wouldn’t know better and wouldn’t have the lofty ideas and ambitions Skyzyks referred to.

Anyway, I’m not averse to having relatively few hard-driving careerist women around. Get it: few.

I can’t believe this thread has reached over 1000 posts lol.

No matter what happens in life, you make choices. So in essence, everyone has the life they’ve chosen repeatedly every day.

So when you begin a conversation with a person: “Why on earth would you choose that life?” You’re going to throw their defenses up faster than walking into a cathedral with a gas can. You’re essentially attacking who they are and what they chose to value.

So yes, even people who don’t have their act together and seem screwed up are still achieving their goals. Your brain is wired to win and it will win at something, even if what it wins at is destructive to you. So you can either pick your goals consciously or let your evil gremlin subconscious pick them. Your choice.

Quite telling about this greenboy when he reacts like that, isn’t it?

I think he is a victim of those same algorithms he blames for these social changes. Now he’s lashing out to protect ideas that aren’t even his own.

I think people will react to the same circumstances differently, a bell curve between extremely positive and extremely negative reactions would be a good representation. If you were to plot peoples reactions to similar circumstances along the bell curve, I believe both sexes would be equally represented along the curve.

How will you decide which ones are allowed?

Sure. People pick their partners for a lot of different reasons.

I don’t think people think he’s nutty because he mentioned some women are worn down by stress. I think people think he’s nutty because he has made it clear he believes the vast majority if not all women will be “destroyed” by working in a stressful environment. A lot of dudes get “destroyed” in a stressful environment too. His position is pretty absurd to be frank.

You could just as easily say this about men. Whining isn’t gender specific in my experience.

That’s totally fine. I don’t think anyone has said otherwise. Women don’t have to be high-earners or even earners at all. I’m a big fan of stay at home moms.

Absolutely, but that doesn’t seem to be what greenboy thinks.

You wouldn’t feel like an underachiever if you had achieved something you value.

It’s simply not that uncommon.

Wow. Welcome to life. How quaint. Sure hope it applies to humankind.

As do the ones that bust ass and don’t wear down. They just picked better men years ago.

Do you have a solution for the low quality men problem and/or the high cost of living problem?

It really does have to be solved before you could ever get what you want.

Belaboring?!?? I haven’t seen that word used in probably a decade or more. lol I’ll heart that post just for the vocabulary.

First, yes I apologize if i came off harsh about his sincere post. And yes I know it was sincere but it is getting tiresome. it is the same thing over and over.

No one here has ever said to enslave women and that’s essentially what he is saying at the end there. Like, come on. Are people not going to understand the positions or are they going to continue to argue in the same fashion? Like someone else said we’re at 1000 posts or something.

I agree with you. I didn’t really start the conversation with “why would you choose that life” I asked simply “why do you want to work like that” and I asked it in a nice way, non-confrontational.

It is a legitimate question to ask someone why they would want to work 80+ hours a week. Do they not want a decent work-life balance?

Reminds me of the Alibaba CEO recently talking about people should work 12 hour days. That they NEED to work 12 hour days in the tech industry. He went on to elaborate what he meant because of all the backlash he got.

The promise of technology, of the future, was that everyone was going to work less, not more.

Everyone else here thinks I’m an incel lowly man, you’re stance is that I’m parroting talking points I found in other places? I’m not sure which one I’d prefer. haha .

@anon50325502

But this isn’t a nutty thing to think. I look at it from a biological standpoint. The different stresses are better suited for particular genders. Men went out to hunt, women worked at home taking care of kids, preparations etc.

Yes, we no longer live in such a society but the brain functions in the same way. Could I be wrong? Yeah I’m open to being wrong about this but again this is my opinion. I don’t think that makes me “nutty”.

Nor does it make me “nutty” to think that women that look older faster are less appealing to men that can continue to procreate well into their 60s. Again, biology, evolution, these things fucking matter lol.

@pfury

I don’t feel like an underachiever, I was actually making fun of peoples perspectives of themselves in here. Too much arrogance.

And where do you get this “low quality men” stuff from. Do you think men just woke up one day as a whole gender and all said “meh, most of us should just be low quality now”

Very bizarre. There will be a lot of men left behind because a lot of new jobs won’t suit these guys. This WILL Happen. How will society, or everyone as a culture adjust to this? We will see. We will see what will happen.

But if you ever got off your very comfortable life in the first world and took a peak elsewhere maybe you’d have a better understanding of what can happen.

Low quality men as you call it, a lot of them, get violent.

Haha.

If you believe what you have posited about reinforcement algorithms and its effects, why would it not apply to you?

Besides the “rotten bill of goods” part which is a common phrase I don’t think anything about women being more godly lol.

I’m not religious. I’ve never been religious and most of my life I have been non spiritual and a total atheist.

However, I have been leaning towards mediation (if that counts as spirituality), and giving religious thought a bit more respect recently.

I’ve always been one to notice trends while not being easily influenced by them, it was why I did so well at my previous job.

Once I started to notice odd particularities on social media I bounced out. I got ‘off’ facebook (did not have a normal profile) since maybe 2010. I had a ghost profile, and a few other things kinda just to observe wtf was happening.

But if I were to be glued to something like instagram all day, and seeing people post pics of their wonderful lives and all that I could probably succumb to that depression people are feeling seeing happy faces all the time. I totally get how that can happen…well, hell, for example as of recent I’ve gotten back into hardcore training and I notice myself being more critical of my physique simply because I’m looking at more pictures of people all jacked up, posing with certain angles, etc.

That just makes my hypothesis all the more reasonable.

You don’t find it at all strange that a male atheist espouses the same idea as a devout religious woman from Texas?

do I find it strange? No, actually I find it reinforcing that I may be right = D

That’s because the algorithms are working!

You only think you think these things. It’s like a confirmation bias feedback loop within a single self perpetuating system.

yeah wouldn’t that be something.

Low quality men have always existed and struggled to find women to bed. As the population scales and women achieve more, that number grows.

No. I think they didn’t have to try all that hard for centuries. Enter the age where women are allowed to succeed in their arenas, and you naturally have the average quality level ratio shifting.

Adapt or die bb. Welcome to the jungle. Always has always will be.

An earned life from the literal hills of WV bb. Happy to have earned it. And I totally married up anyways lol

Very interesting points. I like this. Let’s talk about this.

Define a ‘low quality man’ for me.

Is it a man that can’t earn enough?
Is not good looking enough?
isn’t social enough?
What?

I find it super interesting you speak like this… are you female?

Because this actually gets back to my point, the differences between male and female. Most men despite advancing in these “arenas” for centuries never had a problem with women being anything more than caregivers.

So what are we saying now? Women will attain some of these positions of power that men have traditionally held, and will do what with it? Throw half the male population in the trash?

This sounds like a misogynists’ talking point, saying the current crop of feminists aren’t looking for equality, they are looking for submission, dominance LoL
